The infamous shoes. The pair that inspired so many people to become overconfident. And every single asshole that tried them on FELL! EVERY SINGLE ONE. And some of you clumsy drunk cunts broke the fucking shoe, and didn't even have enough decency to offer to get them fixed.
That's why nobody gets to wear them anymore, but me, the rightful person who had to fight to get them made, because even the cobbler felt they'd be impossible to walk in.
I remember one time before a show at Chinahouse, there was this obnoxious English lady who decided that she was going to try on my shoes.
Drunk English Lady: "I love your shoes. I wanna try them on"
Me : "No."
Drunk English Lady : "Why? I am good with high heels."
Me: "No. You will fall. You ALL fall."
(I try to get up and leave and she stops me)
Drunk English Lady: "No please let me try them. I won't fall."
Me: "That's what all of you say. And then you fall and you break my shoe."
Drunk English Lady: "You don't know me I am.."
(I stop her)
Me: "Ma'am, do you have any money? Take out $1000 from that cheap bag, and put it on the table. I'll gladly take off these shoes and let you wear them, but if you trip or slip or fall in any way, and whether the shoes get hurt in the process or not, I'll take the money. That is the only way I will ever let YOU try them on. OK. I have to go. Enjoy the show, or don't enjoy the show. You coming here and ordering one cheap drink to sit here and probably not even understand the message in my performance, does not entitle you to have rights over my shoes."
I'm quite sure this lady went back to her provincial town to tell the story of that pleasant and polite Malaysian drag queen she met while she visited Chinahouse.
