If not watch it again :) We love to cook steamed food at home because steaming is an easy, quick and healthy way of cooking. If you haven't tried cooking using steam, you should try it. We love to steam food especially when we're cooking other dishes, such as rice or soup because we can make use of the 'free' steam to cook another dish. Very easy and convenient. If you don't have a steamer rack, it's time to get one asap.

0.5 teaspoon chicken stock powder (or 1/3 teaspoon salt)
300g (10.14oz) soft tofu (beancurd)

0.5 tablespoon cornflour (also known as cornstarch)

We love steam cooking because it allows us to cook dishes without much effort. If your rice cooker is as big as like ours, you can easily steam the dish at the same time while cooking rice. This method not only will you save energy, but you'll also have lesser pots and pans to wash. We intentionally only used 7 ingredients to cook this steamed chicken recipe so that you can recreate this dish easily. If you want to make it into a balanced dish, you can also add some vegetables, such as carrots, enoki mushrooms, cauliflower or broccoli to the dish. If you are using carrots, cook the chicken and carrots at the same time. If you're using broccoli, enoki mushrooms or cauliflower, add them towards the last 5 minutes of cooking the chicken.

Ingredients:
500g sticky rice, soaked in water at least 4 hours and drain
500g cassava, peeled, cubed and soaked in water at least 8 hours
15ml coconut milk
Toppings:
200g minced pork
50g pork floss
3 Chinese sausages, diced
4-5 pandan leaves
4 shallots, thinly sliced
3 spring onions, chopped
Directions:
1. Combine the soaked sticky rice with cassava and ½ tsp salt. Toss well.
2. Fill the lower compartment of the steamer 1/3 full with water and bring to a boil.
3. Line the steamer basket with a piece of banana leaf. You can tie the pandan leaves to a knot and add the rice to add fragrance. Place the cassava sticky rice in the steamer and steam, covered over boiling water until shiny and tender, about 20 minutes. Remove from heat and let stand, covered, 5 minutes.
4. At the last 10 minutes, drizzle 1 tbsp coconut milk over the sticky rice to add richness and shininess.
5. To make the toppings, season minced pork with salt, peper and 1 tsp minced shallot.
6. Deep-fry the sliced shallot till golden brown. Transfer the fried shallot to a bowl.
7. Place the chopped spring onion in a bowl. Add a pinch of salt and sugar. Pour the hot oil to the bowl and mix well. This is scallion oil.
8. Sauté the diced Chinese sausages in a pan and add 50ml water. Add minced pork. Season with 1 tsp fish sauce, ½ tsp sugar/stock powder. Stir well and cook until done. Take off heat.
9. Fluff the cooked cassava sticky rice and transfer to a plate. Top with the sautéed pork and sausage, scallion oil, fried shallot and some pork floss
