We went on a guided walk with X-Trekkers for our S.A.D. last weekend and explored the Queenstown area. Undeniably, the highlight was walking through the forest and finding this ‘lost ark’ in the middle of nowhere! Apparently someone had converted this huge fallen trunk over a water body into a chill deck, complete with steps, chairs and even an BBQ pit. Ingenious! 😆
We also learned more about Tanglin Halt, Singapore’s first satellite town, trekked briefly along the Green Corridor, soaked in the tranquility at Wessex Estate and gawked at the huge colonial bungalows. Lovely afternoon spent and you can sign up for the walk too with your SingapoReDiscovers vouchers! Just head to GlobalTix (https://singaporediscovers.globaltix.com/tour/sg-walk-my-queenstown-beyond-by-x-trekkers) to book because they are the only booking partner that are homegrown so #supportlocal ok? 😀

Strolling among the planting of Tower Tree and Yellow Iris shrub, isn’t this feel resembling the walk through Paddy Field?!
Isn’t it planning for staycation make us very excited for now?!
Last time planning overseas trip that made us very excited but for now i guess staycation is the only “holiday” we can do..
Hoping for a birthday staycation in December, which is only few months away, how time flies! Seriously i can’t wait for 2020 to be over 😅 and see what will happen in 2021..
Anyway took this photo at Capella Hotel in Sentosa Island, one of my fav hotels in Singapore..
Capella Singapore was built in the 1880s to accommodate the British officers of the Royal Artillery and their families. Capella Singapore is made up of both modern and colonial buildings. Among them are Tanah Merah I and Tanah Merah II, bungalows built in the 1880s to accommodate the British Officers of the Royal Artillery, Coastal Defence Command based on Sentosa Island. Known as the Officers' Mess, it was where the officers and their families ate and relaxed by dancing and playing tennis.
They were given conservation status on Aug 7, 2000.
The hotel receives its guests at both bungalows, which have been restored.
Do you have your personal favourite hotel for staycation in Singapore?

Imagine dining alfresco while overlooking the lush greenery, the setting of Lewin Terrace is classy yet I do not find it overly imposing. Read on to find out more about our experience here!
