The foodie in me is craving for a good meal after having to eat porridge for several days due to my persistent fever (not Covid 19 btw). Missing the Salade de Crabe, a cold entree from Brassiere Les Saveurs’ new á la carte menu.
This generous serving of Alaskan king crab is so sweet and succulent, paired with remoulade, dill, yoghurt dressing and
paprika mayonnaise, it is one item that one shouldn’t miss if you are dining at @stregissg.
Another item that leaves a deep impression is the Bar en Croûte
de Sel, a salt baked sea bass which has moisture and natural sweetness sealed in that salt crust. The fish is so fresh and full of flavours that it is definitely highly recommended for any fish lovers.
I am looking forward for my next dining experience at Brasserie Les Saveurs as the service is impeccable and I also like that the restaurant is focusing on the seasonality with most ingredients locally sourced. Can’t wait 😻😻

? Đối với Vinh, ăn Cua sốt ớt là phải ghé Jumbo Seafood, vì hương vị món ăn ở đây rất rất tuyệt vời. Không chỉ riêng Cua sốt ớt, mà những món ăn khác có trong Menu như Mì xào hải sản, Cơm chiên hải sải, Sò điệp,... cũng được chế biến hết sức công phu và hợp khẩu vị. Đây cũng là một trong những quán chè nổi tiếng nhất nhì Singapore với lượt thực khách ghé thăm mỗi ngày cực lớn, mỗi lần muốn ăn cũng phải đợi kha khá thời gian, và quán sẽ ngừng nhận order lúc 12h đêm nên các bạn lưu ý một chút nha. Vinh thích quán nhất vì chè xoài ở đây đặc biệt ngọt thơm từ xoài, không hề gắt đường và độ béo thơm của sữa cũng rất vừa phải, rất hợp khẩu vị. In case you haven't noticed, we love seafood but we gotta take it in moderation since none of us are getting any younger :p. This seafood porridge is so easy to cook and so yummy. Literally just dump everything in the rice cooker and voila! The seafood you use in your porridge doesn't need to be exactly like ours. As long as they're seafood, they're good to be used to put this dish together.

Ingredients:
Serves 6 pax

Making the porridge base:
=====
- 9 cups of water
- 30g of dried scallops soaked in 1 cup of hot water - shred scallops when soft and pour all the contents including water into the rice cooker
- 1/4 cup of glutinous rice
- 3/4 cup of Jasmine rice

Making meatballs
====
- 100g of ready made fish paste
- 125g of minced pork or chicken
- 1/4 teaspoon of ssalt
- 1.5 teaspoons of cornflour
- 1 teaspoon of flounder or sole fish powder (can be replaced w/ 0.5 tsp of salt)
- A few dashes of white pepper

Other ingredients:
====
- 250g of prawns (marinated with a pinch of salt & sugar)
- 100ml of cooking oil (can use peanut or vegetable oil)
- 400 - 450g of crab
- 1.5 teaspoons of salt
