Did you know that women medical professionals have been an important role during the COVID-19 pandemic? The pandemic has not only been a stark reminder of the shared security concern on the global health, also exposed deep inequalities across health and social systems at global and national levels, including gender disparities, that weaken our ability to respond effectively.
Promoting women’s empowerment has always been one of AIT’s focus and an important U.S.-Taiwan shared values. We are pleased to share an information about a virtual forum “Women in Global Health Security” organized by Foreign Policy magazine, Women in Global Health and the Wagner Foundation. The program is a dynamic, high-level digital summit illuminating the need for gender-transformative policy within global health security.
