去年五月，收到一個來自環球唱片的電話。內容是關於2018年開始籌備，而本來Ellen是有份參與的Guitar Calling合輯(所以她當年也邀請了Mike Orange參與另一首歌的製作）。
對話中對方（Universal Music)表示為了紀念「阿妹」，想邀請我錄一首她的歌。但起初我說，抱歉我不能也不想再跟Ellen and the Ripples band以外的任何情況或單位演繹她的任何歌曲....
結果，他們建議用Feature我這位樂隊成員的名義，以一個tribute她的方法去重新編輯這首歌。最後於去年6月，我把這首歌，以我的打法再重新灌錄一次（2011年的原裝版本並不是我錄鼓的）。 而錄音那天，我還用了我經常跟Ellen演出時用過的Snare Drum去錄（我也post過），希望可以保留The Ripples band 的聲音和感覺！
藉此也想解釋一下我在這首歌打的鼓的內容:
Verse的部份是多年來，Ellen the Ripples band玩改編歌/Cover songs時我會喜歡的元素和做法， 但我其實也是根據我聽到的melody、其他樂器節奏和感覺去做的（如果你有聽過她以往live album中的翻唱歌，也會聽到我做過的相類似東西）。
其他chorus等等部份，是我純粹錄音那天想到，而又很隨心地打的contents。值得一提，最後一段chorus前，bridge裡面的crossstick 4拍打法，是有一次大概2011-2012年我們練歌時，我突然有感而發，巧妙地jam出來而她又超喜歡的！結果多年來的live版本也是這樣打這一段。
最後，outro的half-time打法，其實是我自己幻想，假如The Ripples繼續有機會演出這首歌的話，應該會改成這樣....而且，這個beat，是我跟Mike Orange經常會自然而有默契地做的一個節奏。
在此，感謝監製可以讓我自由發揮地錄這首歌，裡面的鼓，我覺得也很「Ellen and The Ripples Band」和我的風格。也謝謝 @dustybottleofficial 的 Jeff 和 @onepromise_official 的 Tin Hang!

盧凱彤 Ellen Loo《Come What May》紀念音樂會昨日完滿落幕。
台上演出的都是 Ellen 的好朋友、家人，包括 林二汶 Eman Lam、黃耀明 Anthony Wong、HOCC 、Yoyo Sham 岑寧兒、Ellen哥哥PJ等等...

音樂會最後一幕出現了 Ellen 的剪影，Ellen & The Ripples Band一齊彈奏演唱，非常震撼！彷彿一切也沒發生過...
套用二汶的一句說話：「記住她的音樂，好好活下去。」

呀妹，謝謝你帶給我們的音樂。
