🍃 The smell is therapeutic for me. The product is fragranced with vanilla pod and raspberry seed oil, and mixed with the mask - it produces a sweet scent, almost like a Palo Santo which de-stresses me. I am not a fan of strongly scented products because it irritates my noise and causes migraine so this product came like a holy grail to me! ⁣

🍃 It is fairly easy to spread, and a tiny little spatula is included in the box. It doesn’t help very much as it is quite small, but it serves its purpose. I usually just dig in with my mask brush. Spread a reasonably thick layer all over your skin, and leave it to work its magic. I find that it does not dry as quickly on skin as other clay/mud masks, so it will take longer than the recommended 15 minutes for it to fully dry out. You might feel a little tightness during the drying process but its not at all uncomfortable. ⁣

🍃 A little hard to remove and rinse off - it might take a little longer than your usual mask rinse off - and I would suggest using either a face flannel, or a facial sponge to remove the mask. Another way I find quite effective is to wet your hands and gently rub them over your face, which helps to dislodge more easily. ⁣

🍃 The skin feels instantly fresh and smooth after the rinse off. However, I will note that it is true of most, if not all mud or clay masks I’ve used. Although, it doesn’t leave the skin plumped or moist, it actually makes you feel super like you’ve completed a thorough cleansing process. ⁣

🍃 Generally I wouldn’t recommend clay / mud mask for those with dry skin as properties in these dries out the skin hence it will leave your skin much more dry than it was. If you have normal skin or oily skin, this one is perfect for you! ⁣

🍃 Antipodes Halo Skin-Brightening Facial Mud Mask retails at Rm177 for 75g which might seem a little high on the price but the product contains mineral-based volcanic mud from geothermal New Zealand, and Antipodes’ signature ingredient of Vinanza Grape & Kiwi and Peony Petal. All these 3 products are not common in commercial market plus its Vegan approved hence I think the price is quite reasonable. #skincarereview @ Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
