Day 5 – Wild Lotus x Antigravity ® Challenge

Happy Friday everyone! Our fifth pose is Paschimottanasana (Seated Forward Fold Pose) from our Wild Lotus Sequence. We have picked the Folded Leaf from our AntiGravity ® Aerial Yoga Sequence to create more space on our spine and give your hip flexors some deep tissue massage!

【Material】
· Cloth (for petals: 3 cm × 15, for leaves: 3 cm × 7, for base: 6 cm × 2)
· Styrofoam plate for base
· Hair clip metal fittings
· Flower core (pearl, peppers, etc.)
· Glue
【Procedure】
① Glue the rolled styrofoams with woodworking bonds, wrap them with cloth, then glue the brackets to the back with a metal adhesive.(Diameter of styrofoam: 4 cm, 3 cm, 2 cm)
② Make 15 pieces of petal cloth folded with tweezers.
③ Attach a petal with a bond.
④ Cut the extra part of the flower core and bond 5 pieces to the center of the flower with glue.
⑤ Apply a glue to the tip of the petal and sharpen the tip of the petal with a finger.
⑥ Make 7 pieces of cloth for leaf folded with tweezers.
⑦ Insert the leaf which was made into the flower, 2: 2: 3 and bond with bond.
⑧ When the bond dries over about 1 day it is completed!

【材料】
・布(花びら用:3㎝角×15枚、葉っぱ用:3㎝角×7枚、土台用:6㎝角×2枚)
・土台用発泡スチロール板
・ヘアクリップ金具
・花芯(パールやペップなど)
・ボンド
【手順】
①まずは土台製作。丸く切ったスチロール板を重ねて木工用ボンドで接着し、布でくるんだら、金属用の接着剤で裏に金具を接着する。
(スチロール板直径:4㎝,3㎝,2㎝)
②花びら用の布をピンセットで折りたたんだものを15個つくる。
→三角になるよう半分に折り、再び縦に半分に折ったら、真ん中をピンセットではさみ、両端を手前にむかって折る。
重なった部分にボンドをつけたら、反対側を開く。これで1枚の花びらが完成。
③花びらをボンドでつけていく。
この時、まず真ん中の3枚を貼るとバランスがとりやすい。それぞれ花びらを5枚ずつつける。
④花芯の余分な部分をカットし、ボンドで花の中心に5本ずつ接着。
⑤花びらの先端にボンドをつけて指ではさみ花びらの先を尖らせる。
⑥葉っぱ用の布をピンセットで折りたたんだものを7個つくる。
→三角になるよう半分に折り、再び縦に半分に折り、再度半分に折って底にボンドをつけたら葉っぱが完成。
⑦つくった葉っぱを花の間に、2:2:3と差し込んでボンドで接着。
⑧約1日かけてボンドが乾燥したら完成!

Food/drink featured in the video:
Kuih Bom: Also known as Sesame Seed Bomb Cakes because of their signature round shapes. It’s made with grain flour and have a variety of fillings – sweet and savory and coated with white or black sesame seed before it is fried in a medium heat until golden brown. Usually eaten in the evening with tea or coffee.
Kuih Merah: This cake comes in round and/or oval shaped made with soft sticky glutinous rice flour skin wrapped around a sweet filling in the center and presented on a square piece of banana leaf.
Kuih Bulan: Also known as Kuih Bulan Terang or more famously known as Apam Balik. It is a type of pancake that are smear with margarines and is sprinkle with peanuts and sugar. Then the pancake is folded to resemble a half moon and cut into several pieces.
Steamed Sponge Cake: Is a light, eggy cake that is steam on a stovetops that first originated in China. It is made from flour, eggs and sugars.
Ngiu Chap: Means “Mixed Beef”, which is a mix of beef and its organs such as stew meat, meat ball, tendon, liver, heart, tripe, intestine, tongue, spleen and omasum, usually served with noodles in thick beef broth. It is a signature dish in Sabah and can be found with different mix and types of noodles to choose from.
