Before the night ends.. here’s sharing more on #worldbreastfeedingweek ❤️
.. It's been over a year with Ellie now, and breastfeeding 🤱 her for as long as I can, committing myself as much as I had with her brothers too. Definitely an enriching and rewarding journey seeing how her brothers benefit from my contribution.
Many of my friends told me how impressed by my determination and I must emphasise that it definitely didn’t come without any struggles. Love to share how we managed to go thru this long nights and all around the clock schedule for the past 6 years…
1. Cuddle and skin contact as much as you can! I’m a self high mama, and I have high level of energy. After Every birth labour I would smell, touch, carry and request for long skin to skin contact moments (As much as Im exhausted from all the pushes, my adrenaline and urge to feed them is higher than being fatigue). Though having ample rest is also very important, make sure you are well-rested too! As all these senses of smell, touch and sight helps in promoting lactation production too! To make it more comfy at home, side latch and cuddle to nap together (be careful when you co-sleep so as not to endanger your baby).
2. Stay hydrated and eat! Yes, feed yourself mama or else how you can get your energy or nutrients to feed your little ones! Drinking up, especially before every feed - mine was warm red date tea, milo and even bbt helped me! All types of Soups, especially those with a lot collagens such as white fungus, pork bones and even peach gums boosted my supply. (Pls check - for peach gums may be too cooling for some)
3. Rest, nap and sleep while you can! No need to explain but you know why. It regenerates your own recovery too. I literally nap as much as my babies, and I do that together, so side latching is definitely my favourite position.

❤️ Doing the exact thing 🤱 while I write this love letter to all the breastfeeding mamas, with her eyes gazing afar but her little hands toying with my other nip 😑😳😵
Having a baby in your hand, latching the little mini me who may have been on your (@@) the whole night; on and off on and off, your eye bags are as thick as the salmon 🍣 sashimi that you are imagining having or you may just wish to have that luxury to lie down on your comfy bed to sleep 😴 beside the knocked out husband 🤨 already..
All of this, I’m sure many of you are familiar with, as much as you may need that beauty sleep 💤 but hope you know some day when you look back to see what you have achieve thru the long nights nourishing and producing your golden liquid which has millions of living cells that consists of immune boosting white blood cells and stem cells for healing ❤️🩹 and organ development, proteins for growth and protect neurons in their brain, amino acids that helps to induce sleep, probiotics (good bacteria) for healthier gut and prevents infection from entering their bloodstreams, more than 40 enzymes, abundance of hormones, vitamins and minerals and importantly antibodies protection by neutralising bacteria’s and viruses - the list can go on and on… but Yes, we do have that kind of super power! #wow #soamazing right??
Everything your baby needed, varies over time as well, apart from these amazing benefits - it’s easier to digest and your baby will less likely to have constipation or diarrhoea, and lesser risk of SID (sudden infant death) as well as obesity and diabetes in adulthood which in years to come they really have YOU, mama to thank for, even though now both of you may not seen it yet.. 👍🏻

How mama introduce full cream cow’s milk along with breastfeeding to Joreen?

Mama used to serve full cream cow’s milk during Joreen's snack time as her healthier snacking choice! She loves it when it is served together with her favorite snacks eg cereal, fruits, cheese, homemade pancake, homemade muffin.. The milk was served in her straw cup as she does not take milk bottle. She drinks really well! This does not affect Joreen's breastfeeding at all. No nipple confusion!

Sometimes mama even added full cream cow’s milk into her food! Joreen super loves it!

Sharing my humble recipe on
Mini Creamy Bake Spaghetti ❤️
.
Method:
1. Cook spaghetti in the boiling water. Drain.
2. Pan fried pre marinated chicken with unsalted butter till golden brown. (Chicken marinated with sesame oil, garlic powder, minced onion, thyme, mix herbs for 10 min)
3. Pan fried salmon & break them into smaller pieces (marinated with lemon.)
4. Saute white mushrooms with butter. Add in chopped brocoli. Cook till slightly soft.
5. In a large bowl, whisk full cream cow’s milk together and 1 egg
6. Add in Bega shredded cheese, @liloikanbilis powder , mix herbs, minced onion & garlic powder, cooked spaghetti, sautéed mixture and combine well.
7. Spray olive oil on the oven proof dish. Pour mixture in. Top with shredded cheese.
8. Preheat oven & bake for 15-20 minutes, 250o. Bake until the sauce is thick and the cheese is melted
9. Sprinkle mix herbs & serve.

> Fritata (egg, milk, purple cabbage, carrot, corn, pork, Macaroni, cheese)
> Kiwi banana chia seed milk smoothie
> Overnight oat (added fresh milk, chia seed & honey) with raspberry & cheese topping
