Learning to handle the BMW R1200GS in Ho Chi Minh's crazy traffic was.. pretty intense 🤣 The adventure bike was surprisingly smooth, but it was the traffic that got me gritting my teeth 😂

There was so much going on at once; people crossing the road, cars cutting across your lane, bikes carrying heavy loads riding in the opposite direction, dogs/chicken dashing across etc etc 😂 and all I'm trying to do was ride straight to the orphanage (check out how the ride went on my Insta story!)

It took us 30 minutes to ride through just 10KM but most importantly, we arrived at Christian Noble Children Foundation safely!

The rapid ascent leads especially from the foot to the pass privily at about 2.5km by the dangerous place on the Mt. Ikoma-yama ground in the Conara highway in Osaka Prefecture. （くらがりとうげ）は、奈良県生駒市西畑町と大阪府東大阪市東豊浦町との境にある峠。現在は国道308号及び大阪府道・奈良県道702号大阪枚岡奈良線（重複）が通る。 標高は455m。
暗越奈良街道の生駒山地における難所で、特に大阪府側は急勾配が麓から峠まで約2.5km続く。国道とはいえ自動車で通行するのは困難なほど道幅は狭く、関西酷道マニアにとっての聖地であり、ハイキングコースとしても有名である。

峠の頂上には小さな集落があり、茶店もある。また、この付近のみ、路面が石畳になっている。

「暗がり」の名称の起源は、樹木が鬱蒼と覆い繁り、昼間も暗い山越えの道であったことに由来している。 また、「鞍借り」、「鞍換へ」あるいは「椋ケ嶺峠」といったものが訛って「暗がり」となったとする異説もある。

江戸時代に刊行された『河内名所図会』には、「世に暗峠という者非ならん‥（中略）‥生駒の山脈続て小椋山という。故尓椋ケ根の名あり、一説尓は此山乃松杉大ひ尓繁茂し、暗かりぬればかく名付くともいう。」と記されている。

1694年（元禄7年9月9日）、松尾芭蕉が大坂へ向かう途中この峠を通った。このとき「菊の香に くらがり登る 節句哉」という重陽の節句にちなんだ句が詠まれたという。
