I’M NOT A SUPERWOMAN BUT...

Words cannot express my gratitude for pulling through our exhibition launch last Friday.
It would not have happened without all our amazing sponsors, team, and ‘superwomen’ who share and believe in our vision, every single person who came on Friday (and the ones who shouted ‘go Jada’ during my speech lol), and every single one of you who wanted to come but couldn’t because we had to cancel day 2 and 3 of our exhibition 🙏🏻🙏🏻

So many of you messaged me to say how sad and unfortunate this was.
Of course, I’m not gonna lie about how emotional I was for a day or two. However, this is exactly one of the messages of our exhibition - learning to embrace the uncertainties and imperfections in life - a much needed lesson in 2020.
Together with the amazingly positive community around me, I learnt to count our blessings (the fact that we managed to pull through our day 1, and so successfully!).

We always had plans to bring this to a wider audience. Rerouting only means that we will be announcing our next station for the exhibition a bit earlier than expected (and with feedback from this time too!)!!

I’M NOT A SUPERWOMAN, but together with the people in my life who love, support me and believe in my vision, I gain the strength and ability to ride the uncertainties in life and to achieve incredible things!

When you are brave enough to believe in and pursue the God dream that is placed into your heart, everything conspires together to make it happen.

My first solo exhibition tells the honest stories of 10 women, each an advocate in their own fields, to explore our shared humanity and what real beauty means.
The title ‘Not a Superwoman’ explores specifically beyond the surface of women who outwardly appear to be ’superwomen’.�
No words can describe how grateful and moved I am to see this all unfold and happen in front of my own eyes, from one person after another simply believing in my vision, and then embracing it together with me like their own.��The journey hasn’t been all rosy, but through all the ups and downs, and all the incredible hard work, I have learnt to hold on to the line ‘mission over ego’ (which coincidentally I learnt from chatting with one of the women I photographed for this exhibition @criselconsunji ) - to lay down my emotions and fears in the name of my mission. It has also been a real testimony of how we (being me, my team of sponsors and ‘superwomen’) rise together in our shared humanity and vision.�
