今天要分享的句型個人很喜歡，喬最近在準備GRE，正在學習分析寫作(Analytical Writing)教材。喬整理了幾個覺得使用上還蠻有條理的句型與各位分享，各位同學一起來學習今天的句型吧！
☛ The saying is used to point out that + 子句… 這個說法用來指出…
e.g. Ironically, the saying is used to point out that since you do not utilize the business model, no matter how hard you work, chances are you will fail in the long run.
諷刺的是，這個說法用來指出因為你並未使用這個商業模型，無論你多麼努力，你很可能最終還是會失敗
☛ This is nowhere more +adj. than… 沒有比在…更…不過的了
e.g. This is nowhere more ridiculous than the assertion that possessing money is more important than accompanying family.
沒有比堅稱擁有金錢是遠比陪伴家人還重要的說法更可笑的了
☛ When faced with… (前後主詞要同樣) 當遭遇…; 當面對….
e.g. When faced with our supervisors, we tend to be more polite and serious.
當面對我們的上司時，我們總是會比較禮貌以及嚴肅
☛ It is presumptuous to judge… according to …. 根據…來判斷…太武斷了
e.g. It is presumptuous to judge a person according to first impression since he or she might just pretend to be nice.
根據第一印象去評斷一個人太武斷了，因為他/她可能只是在裝好人啊
☛ It is illegitimate to justify that….. in accordance with N. 根據…來理解是不合理的
e.g. It is illegitimate to justify that Amy is extremely poor in accordance with her look since I have heard that she is actually the heiress of a well-known enterprise.
根據愛咪的外表來判斷她很窮是不合理的，因為我聽說她是一個知名企業的女繼承人
☛ share a belief that…. 都相信…; 都認為…
e.g. People nowadays share a belief that they are capable of changing their own destiny while those in the past did not.
現代的人都認為他們有能力可以改變命運然而過去的人則不如此認為
☛ in a similar way 同樣…
e.g. In a similar way, marriage and friendship are explorations of the higher emotions- they are pilgrimages towards the city of true values.
同樣的，婚姻與友情是對更高層次情感的探索。它們是對真正價值的虔城求索
☛ what is interesting is…. 有趣的是…
e.g. What is interesting is that harsh as the condition was, Caroline seemed even more confident in her cupcake business and endeavored to succeed.
有趣的是，即便情況在艱困，凱瑞萊顯得對杯子蛋糕生意更有信心，並努力要成功
☛ turn our attention to… 將注意力轉到…
e.g. Needless to say, the news turned our attention to the cause of the accident instead of how much the victims needed help from the public.
無庸置疑，這則新聞將注意力轉到災難的起因而非受災者是多麼需要大眾的幫忙

大家好，想請教一下

就版主的理解，”How long has it been since you last had a visitor?” 這種說法
已經逐漸被人們接受 (不管是否為積非成是)。英文單字 “since” 前面通常都用完成式
，為何唯獨這種句型要用非要用現在簡單式？美國人或多或少也會搞不清楚吧！

不曉得這裡是不是有筆誤？
那位版主是不是要說「就版主的理解，”How long 'is it' since you last had a
visitor?” 這種說法已經逐漸被人們接受...」。
而他認為”How long 'has it been' since you last had a visitor?” 才是正確的。
不過OALD倒是也有收錄類似例句：
It's twenty years since I've seen her.
How long is it since we last went to the theatre?

所以依該版主的意見，這是否算是已經「積非成是」的用法了呢？
另外文章接著有提到：

我們甚至可以發現下面這種邏輯不合的句子：
“The guy you’re looking for has just left.”
“For how long ago?” – 邏輯怪怪的!
“I don’t know. A couple of hours, maybe.”

請問「邏輯怪怪」的意思是不是在於，對方已經說了那人剛剛離開，而回應者卻還問「多
久以前？」
那如果這樣的回應不佳，不知是否有更好的回問方式呢？
