Reaching Rural Taiwan: NPM iPalace Channel Documentary

To students in rural Taiwan, the National Palace Museum(NPM) is extremely far away. In order to shorten the distance between these students and artifacts at the museum, the NPM established the iPalace Channel in 2014. By combining cloud technology and outreach programs, the museum managed to spread the beauty of its artifacts across Taiwan. Reaching Rural Taiwan was filmed to document the outreach activities based on iPalace Channel. The film crew followed the museum’s outreach team every step of the way, visiting schools in Qalang Smangus in Hsinchu, Hualien, Taidong, Orchid Island and recording the detailed process of NPM’s outreach activities.
