Petai, its either you hate it or you love it.. It is known for its medicinal purposes and gives an instant energy boost. The taste is nutty and creamy to petai lovers. It’s often cooked in a spicy sambal sauce with succulent prawns, squid or even crispy fried anchovies.

This recipe is from an old Malay makcik (aunty) and she learnt it from her mother! We are sharing it with you as we want the traditional recipes to be cooked in your kitchen. It's best served with piping hot white steam rice or with Nasi Lemak.

どうも、おもしろ雑貨コレクターの伊勢海老太郎です。カップヌードルが大好きなので、カップヌードル生誕50周年を勝手に祝して、コレクションしているカップラーメングッズを前編、中編、後編の全3回シリーズで紹介します。カップヌードルが食べたくなると思いますので、ご視聴する前にカップヌードルのご準備をお忘れなく（笑）。
今回のメインはカップヌードルプラモデルの紹介です。プラモデルの組み立ては簡単だけど、シール貼りが難しかったです。早送りしているので伝わらないと思いますが、すごく小さなシールがあって、撮影しながらだと超難しかったです。
カップヌードルのアレンジメニューをいくつか料理しましたけど、全て日清食品さん公式レシピです。私が考えたのではなく、ちゃんとした公式メニューなので安心してください（笑）。残り汁で作るカップヌードルみたらしアイスだけは……自分が食べた残り汁でないとかなり抵抗感がありますよね（笑）。私のおすすめは「カップヌードル炒飯」です。味付けを自分でする必要がなく、簡単で美味しいので驚きました。ほんとそのまんまのカップヌードル味の炒飯ができます。
小林製薬と共同開発した「カップヌードル 残ったスープ固めるパウダー」は、スープまで飲み干してしまうメタボ気味な私には、別の意味で救世主だったかもしれません（笑）。
お花は母の日のカーネーションの売れ残りで、知り合いの花屋さんが配っていたのを借りてきて、撮影後にすぐ返却しました。お花を出窓に飾るような生活は実際にはしていません（笑）。

More like a thick soup than a typical Western stew, this Chinese beef stew takes reference from Cantonese cooking and pairs vibrant flavours of daikon and carrots with rich earthy beefy goodness.

We cooked over a stove but go ahead and use a pressure cooker / instant pot to braise the beef chucks quicker.

1.4kg Beef chuck (cut into chunks)
2 tbsp Cooking oil
2 Onions (cut into wedges)
1 Knob ginger (smashed)
2 Star anises
2 Cinnamon sticks
2 Bay leaves
4 Cloves
5 Dried chillies (pre-soaked)
2 tbsp Light soy sauce
1 tbsp Dark soy sauce
2 tbsp Chu hou sauce
1 tbsp Fish sauce
3 tbsp Shaoxing wine
Salt & sugar to taste
500ml Chicken stock
500g Daikon (peeled and cut into chunks)
2 Carrot (peeled and cut into chunks)
Coriander for garnishing
