【2021 ITU WTS LEEDS賽後焦點】
上週在英國Leeds有一場ITU WTS（World Triathlon Series）賽事，三個有趣的點分享。
女子組先來，第一亮點是Lucy Charles-Barclay生涯首場的ITU初登場，讓人不禁期待，該不會有可能在2024年奧運看得到她吧？
Lucy 游泳不只如預期的能在第一集團裡，同時也是第一個上岸的，18:19，但其實也才領先1秒而已。可是她從上岸到出T1的速度實在太慢（下方影片的42:00處可看到，連在轉換區都跑太慢了），被晚個幾秒上岸的Maya Kingma, Jessica Learmonth, Sophie Coldwell三人直接在單車段組成一集團，最後這三人也依序包下了最後的前三名。
而Lucy與Flora Duffy, Taylor Spivey, Vittoria Lopes組成四人集團在單車苦苦追趕，可是到第5圈已明顯發現Lucy 有點無力，甚至一度差點被集團甩掉。其中，百慕達女戰士 Flora Duffy一直想發動攻擊，率領集團追上去，但其他三人都無法回應。
僅管最後Flora Duffy跑出了全場10km最快的也是唯一一個跑進34分內的33分47秒，還是無法彌補單車被拉開的差距，第四名作收。
Lucy最後第5位，騎與跑都還不及前四位水準，至於有沒有可能去奧運？在人才輩出的大英帝國，她得格外努力才行。

男子組，有兩個話題。
第一個Alistair Brownlee被以『Ducking』美國選手Chase McQueen為由判定失格DQ。
光看『Ducking』這字意思，我只想到Duck鴨子（餓了XD），但『Ducking』也有閃避或潛入水中的意思，就像鴨子突然潛入水中的動作一樣，所以他應當是將對手埋入水中，有惡意攻擊的企圖！
再看一則報導，弟弟 Johnny Brownlee受訪時提到以下這段話，那就很明顯了，應該就是打人打過頭了，直接DQ掉，而這一DQ，也宣告了這位2012與2016奧運冠軍的Alistair Brownlee，已經確定與今年東奧無緣了！
“There are too many good swimmers and we’re not swimming fast enough. It’s not swimming, it’s #fighting, you just end up next to each other catching arms. I knew after the first lap that it wasn’t splitting up at all and it would be a big pack.
額外提一下 Richard Varga，在下方影片的 31:33處，他游錯路線，沒有在浮標右側經過，直接DQ，本來是游泳一路領先，這個小失誤直接就掰了。
從上方三個人的案例來看，ITU的賽事，處處是細節，到處有魔鬼。轉換慢了點、打人動作大了點、游泳游歪了點都會讓你付出代價，甚至直接打包回家！

最後要提的就是男子組冠軍，也即將代表英國參加奧運的Alex Yee，這個人我注意到他至少三年了，一直在想他何時會成為焦點，現在時機終於成熟了。
他的姓 "Yee" 很特別，讓我想起以前NBA也有一位中國選手叫易建聯，不過當時易建聯的拼英是 "Yi" 而非 "Yee"。
加上Alex Yee感覺又有點東方臉孔的基因，讓我很想查他的身世，但幾乎遍尋不著，只知道他的父親確實有華人血統（照片3），但Alex是出生在英國倫敦，可能也不會講任何華語或亞洲語言了。不過不管怎樣，在這個幾乎都是西方白人為強勢主導的運動裡，能看到有一點點亞洲基因能與其競爭，都是讓人為之一振的消息。
Alex Yee的強項是跑步，很早以前就靠著跑步而出名。要說他中長距離有多強？ 直接拿他來跟英國傳奇Mo Farah相比就好。
Mo Farah, 3000m 7分32秒, 5000m 12分53秒（這兩紀錄都是英國最快）。
Alex Yee3000m 7分45秒, 5000m 13分26秒（這兩項紀錄都在2020年所創）。
如果要對比同是三鐵選手的話，Alistair Brownlee的5000m是14分13秒，但查無3000m正式紀錄。讓我們對比西班牙目前最強的三鐵選手 Mario Mola，3000m是8分02秒，5000m是13分41秒。這就突顯出Alex Yee至少是三鐵領域數一數二快，或根本是專項跑者的水準了，這場ITU LEEDS，他也是唯一一個最後10km跑進30分內的人。
還有一個最讓人意外的事情是他的體重，僅55kg，根本就是長跑者的身材嘛，也可說是所有三鐵選手裡最單薄的了。
惡搞一下，如果你學過統計也聽過常態分配的話，我們把這些世界頂尖的三鐵選手BMI畫一個常態分布圖的話，最右端的應該就是挪威小胖Kristian Blummenfelt（這場他也有來，第6），最左端絕對就是Alex Yee了。
還有，Alex Yee年僅23歲的新鮮度，只要無傷無痛，相信他還能再紅很多年！
