Such a pleasure meeting with Dr @tanseeleng , Singapore's Minister in the Prime Minister's Office, Second Minister for Manpower and Second Minister for Trade and Industry.

He has a such an interesting life story.

Due to financial difficulties, he had to work many odd jobs to keep the family going & worked hard as a tutor to fully finance his university education.

He ended up being a superstar in business-private sector.

Starting up his own company Healthway Medical Group at 27 & being appointed as CEO & MD of many healthcare groups/companies.

He left the private sector to compete in last election, won & appointed a minister.

Interestingly, Dr Tan was caring for Tan Sri Muhyiddin when TSMY was hospitalised for pancreatic cancer.

I believe the first time i met Dr Tan was in 2018 when i was visiting TSMY in hospital.

I vividly remember how Tan Sri was craving for some good Asam Pedas Muo after operation & ended up getting hospitalised further because he was not supposed to eat spicy food.

To be honest, I'd do the same. Anything for some good Asam Pedas Muo.

Doctors wouldn't be happy, but only those who have tried Asam Pedas Muo will understand😆

Put Politics aside & cherish sweet memories.

Had a video call with Malaysian PM Muhyiddin Yassin earlier this evening to discuss the KL-Singapore High Speed Rail (HSR) project. The project is currently suspended, until 31 December 2020.

We took stock of the status, and gained a better understanding of each other’s positions. Both sides will provide further details on the project in due course.

The pandemic has been tough for both sides of the Causeway. Happy that our friendship and cooperation with our neighbour continue to be robust, despite COVID-19.

Some of us are wondering how come Singapore hasn't declared a lockdown yet, or why schools are not closed. This is your answer. Because once you go down that route, it is hard to un-lockdown... especially when you have no control of events happening around us.

That is why our method of escalating the measures step-by-step is more adaptable than the full lockdown immediately, which practically leaves us with a dead end. I've read some comments online that these are half-baked but if you lock Singapore down or close schools, when will you lift the lockdown or re-open schools? Already we now realise how some of these heightened measures have started to impact our usually-normal lives, how they have grounded planes, how they have adversely affected the livelihoods of people.

We might be heading for a full lockdown if everyone still remains complacent and nonchalent. So please stay at home if you are unwell, steer clear of crowds, practice physical distancing and please please please, DON'T go clubbing/drinking tonight just for that one last party. It's not worth it.

Pada awal July 2020 yang lepas, kami pergi jenjalan di Johor Bahru. Sebabkan teringin nak makan Nasi Arab, aku pun google kat mana boleh kami makan Nasi Arab area JB ni. Cari punya cari, jumpa Star Hadramout ni. Lokasi dia macam tersorok sikit. Korang kena tengok video baru dapat gambaran restoran mereka ni disebelah mana.

Makanan diorang memang superb. Berbaloi sangat-sangat. Portion diorang bagi memang besar. Tapi jangan risau untuk single portion pun mereka ada sediakan.

Kalau singgah JB aku sarankan untuk korang terjah makan kat sini. Tempat diorang memang selesa. Silap-silap boleh tertidur lepas makan :D
