矯正的時候所使用的橡皮筋大致分成三種：
只使用在傳統矯正器的O ring tie、
傳統和新型矯正器如戴蒙矯正器都會使用的關縫橡皮筋power chain、
病人自行更換的顎間橡皮筋Elastics/Rubber Band
