いよいよ本日、9/26 夜8時(JST)京都・清水寺から世界に向け、世界平和そしてコロナ収束の願いを込めて演奏させていただきます。
僕自身、先日誕生日を迎え、今回のステージは、僕のこれまでの集大成でもあります。
何のために音楽をやってるのか。
自問自答を繰り返し、日々小さなアップデートを重ねてここまで辿り着きました。
うまくメッセージを伝えれたか分かりませんが、一生懸命、魂をこめて演奏しました。
何かを感じとってもらえたなら幸いです。
今回、この特別なステージでの演奏にあたって清水寺をはじめ関係者の皆さんには本当にお世話になりました。
無料ライヴということで沢山の有志者、尊敬する友人たちにもサポートしていただいています。本当に感謝です。
制作スタッフも前日まで台風で大雨の中、ぐちゃぐちゃになりながらがんばってくれました。
そして出演してくれたゲストアーティスト陣もみんな、渾身のパフォーマンスを披露してくれました。
神聖なこの場所で本気でぶつかり合い、高めあい、織りなすハーモニーと躍動感は、僕たちの「今、この時代を生きる」存在証明でもあります。
決して僕一人では創れなかったステージです。みんなの想いをのせて全力で叫びます。

とは絶対に言いたくない。
今、自分が置かれている環境で全力を尽くす。それ以外に未来を切り開く道はない、そう強く確信しています。
とにかく音楽の力で見てくれる聴いてくれる方に少しでも元気を感じてもらいたい。未来にワクワクしてもらいたい。その願いに一点の曇りも濁りもありません。
混沌としている時代だからこそ、高らかに希望を叫んでいたい。未来が少しでも希望に溢れるように。

Happy Malaysia Day! So much emotions to unpack today while I reveal these pieces. These three new artworks were created from soil gathered from East and West Malaysia.
I've been working on this project since Nov 2020, when Alvin Teoh, son of Malaysian war veteran, Major Andrew, contacted me asking if I’d want to create artworks to be shown in a documentary about Malaysian war veterans. One of my missions as an artist is to tell stories, especially meaningful ones about history, culture and heritage, so of course I said yes.
From the start, we knew that soil would be the main material to symbolise land that was fought for. Admittedly, there was a lot I didn't know about that the war and the vets - about the pain and reality of war, how it affected their families and lives, and their deep love for the country. I got to meet two vets in person before lockdown, and the rest I met through Zoom. I was also deeply touched by how there were so many Malaysians of various backgrounds who fought for our country - of all races, beliefs, backgrounds, and of Malaysians from East and West Malaysia. As a Sabahan (East Malaysian), I hope these artworks and this documentary will also present East Malaysians as an equal to the West. That is the symbolism of gathering soil from both East and West Malaysia. The documentary will be shown tonight on Astro at 9pm (GMT + 8 ) on Channel 100. Happy Malaysia Day. ❤

With travel temporarily halted, we decided to explore the hidden gems within Singapore. Join us as we explore Thomson Nature Park, the 50-hectare buffer park unique for its rich cultural heritage as the site of a former Hainan Village. Thomson Nature Park is also home to a rich array of biodiversity and is notably a key conservation site for the critically endangered Raffles’ Banded Langur.
There are five trails within this park: Ruins and Figs Trail (1.50km), Streams and Ferns Trail (1.40km), Rambutan Trail (0.40km), Langur Trail (0.35km), and Macaque Trail (0.15km). Although we weren't fortunate enough to spot the elusive Raffles' Banded Langur on our multiple trips here, we did manage to catch wild boars and plenty of cheeky macaques.
May our videos be a form of escapism and source of zen for you, and encourage you to appreciate the little, simple things in life. Even in these turbulent times, there is still much beauty in this world if we keep our hearts and minds open.
