I used to learn about shutter speed, aperture & ISO just to take nice portrait pictures. 😂 And now, it is one of the most important aspect in my everyday life! 📷🦷

It’s amazing how important is Photography in Dentistry. To see the true colours (literally), to document, to self-evaluate. It taught me to look at things from an artistic perspective. And when you see your work as an art, every day is an exciting opportunity to create a new piece!

For those who wanted to start, go on YouTube. Learn about the Basics of Photography. Start with your mobile phone and a selfie-ring light, that’s how I started. Learn hard, learn humbly. Any tool is a right tool with mind full of knowledge.

We had a whimsical Tea Party Photoshoot with Bloom Photography, woohoo!

The setting, complete with balloons, bunting, teapot, cupcakes and macarons, was so surreal and exquisite that it seemed like a scene pulled out of a beautiful dream or Alice in Wonderland. So pretty, right?

It was a short session - we took less than half an hour on a weekend morning - which was just nice for the kids and I love that they all gave their best smiles that day.

Pictures of Bukit Besi in fall colours popped out frequently on social media, I decided the check it out. The hill had a fire during the dry season, which left a small part of the hill burnt and the leaves were turning brown.

The hill was located at Alam Damai, which isn't too far away. I went on a weekday to avoid the crowd, I probably had less than 10 human contacts.

The hike was a short 4km with about 300m elevation gain. I did try to get to the waterfall but the trail was barricaded with barbed wire and a warning sign post. There goes my plan to try out the stove. There were a lot of mosquitos which made the shoot pretty unpleasant.

Malang has some really interesting places of interests especially Kampung Tridi where the colours of the homes attracts not just tourists, but also locals from Indonesia, to take pictures there. While playing Pokémon GO in Malang, I decided to show the locals how we can play the game a little differently with the AR feature of the game by doing some catch challenges. Not forgetting the challenge of using Yanma in a Silph PVP tournament with amazing and surprising results.

Had an amazing opportunity to shoot my very first Holi Festival together with some good friends of mine. Learnt so much and thought I'd share a few tips on shooting this incredible festival of celebration and colours.

Some of the tips I cover are how to protect your camera during the Holi Festival as well as focusing modes.
