Dine-in might not be possible from tmr onwards but takeaway is still available from 18 May at this newly opened @ebibarsg , a mod-sin noodle bar that serves prawn broth noodles in a dim sum basket.

It looks like ramen but tastes just like our familiar prawn mee. The signature chao dar (charred) ebi noodles has a smoky flavor imparted by the prawns while the broth that’s cooked for long hours is full of umami goodness.

Also available are some non-conventional side dishes like the Salted Mackerel Fried Chicken (nothing fishy about this) and the special in-house made achar that contains jellyfish

Jikaya Ramen 自家屋日本拉面 had a humble beginning- the brand started from a hawker stall (in a coffee house) in Farlim and today, they have moved into a shop, completely managed by their own. As suggested by the name, Jikaya Ramen is a Japanese Ramen-focused restaurant... serving various types of Japanese Ramen as well as Japanese-influenced dishes. The menu is fairly big for a restaurant at their size so need not worry on the selection availability. Likewise, the price points are very affordable, almost cheaper than most established Ramen shops in town.

In、Later、after、afterwardの使い分け方
=================================
　
「In」「Later」「After」「Afterward(s)」は全て「～後」を意味する単語ですが、皆さんはその違いについてご存知ですか？今日のコラムでは、この4つの単語を使い分けるコツをご紹介したいと思います。

1) In
--------------------------------------------------
　
In は「今」を起点に未来のことを表すときに使われ、「I’m going to Hawaii in 2 weeks.」は今から2週間後にハワイに行くことを表します。一般的に「in + 数字」の形式で使われ、例えば、友達に「30分後に電話するね」とメールする場合は「I’ll call you in 30 minutes.」、「私の面接は2日後です」は「My interview is in 2 days.」、「１ヶ月後に帰国します」は「I’m going back home in 1 month.」と言い、話している時点から「〜後」の意味合いになります。
　
✔「I’ll be there in a few hours.（数時間後に到着します）」や「I’ll see you in a month.（１ヶ月後に会おうね）」のように具体的な数字を使わなくてもOK。
　
＜例文＞
　
I’m tied up in a meeting right now. I’ll call you in 30 minutes.
（今、ミーティング中だから30分後に電話するね）
　
Your interview is in 2 days, right? Are you ready for it?
（インタビューは2日後でしょ？準備はできた？）
　
Sorry, I'm running a little late. I'll be there in about 20 minutes.
（すみません、予定よりちょっと遅れています。20分ほどで到着します）

2) Later
--------------------------------------------------
　
Laterも「〜の後に」を意味しますが、laterは「ある出来事の〇〇後」を表すときに使われます。例えば、友達に「I’m going to Hawaii 2 weeks later.」とだけ言ってしまうと、「What do you mean two weeks later? 2 weeks after what?（2週間後ってどう言うこと？何の2週間後なの？）」のように相手は混乱してしまいます。そのためここでは、「I’m going to Taiwan next week. Then I’m going to Hawaii 2 weeks later.（来週台湾に行って、その2週間後にハワイに行きます）」のように表現することで、台湾に行った2週間後にハワイに行くことが伝わります。

また、later は過去の話をするときによく使われます。例えば、「私たちは2015年に出会って（その）2年後に結婚しました」は「We met each other in 2015 and got married 2 years later.」、「彼は首にされましたが（その）3日後に仕事が見つかりました」は「He got fired but found a job 3 days later.」のように使われます。

ちなみにlaterは具体的な時間や期間が明確ではなく、ただ漠然とした「後で」の意味としても使われます。例えば、「後でメールする」は「I’ll text you later.」、「後で勉強します」は「I’ll study later.」、「後でやります」は「I'll do it later.」のように表します。
　
＜例文＞
　
I'm going on a business trip to New York tomorrow. 3 days later, I'm coming back to Japan to attend my friend's wedding.
（明日、ニューヨークへ出張に行きます。その3日後、友達の結婚式に出席するために日本へ戻ってきます）
　
He moved to LA after he graduated college and 1 year later he opened up a ramen shop.
（彼は大学卒業後ロスへ引っ越し、その1年後にラーメン屋をオープンしました）
　
Are you busy tonight? Do you want to grab some drinks later?
（今夜って忙しい？後で飲みにでも行かない？）

3) Afterward(s)
--------------------------------------------------
　
Afterward(s)はlaterと同様「後で」を意味しますが、laterが漠然とした「後」を表すの対し、afterward(s)は「何かの直後に」のニュアンスが含まれます。例えば、「今ミーティング中だからミーティングが終わった後に電話するね」は「I’m in a meeting right now. I’ll call you afterward(s).」と言います。ここでは、afterward(s)を使ってafter the meetingを一言で表しています。
　
✔アメリカ英語はafterward、イギリス英語はafterwardsと言われているが、アメリカでもafterwardsはよく耳にするためどちらを使ってもOK。
　
＜例文＞
　
Let’s grab a quick bite and go to karaoke afterward(s).
（軽く食事をして、その後カラオケに行こう）
　
I took a nap and afterward(s) studied English.
（昼寝をした後に英語の勉強をしました）
　
I’m going to clean the house and go for a walk afterward(s).
（家を掃除した後に散歩に行きます）

4) After
--------------------------------------------------
　
Afterは一般的に「〜の後に〜します」や「〜の後に〜しました」の意味として使われます。例えば、「ミーティングの後に電話します」は「I’ll call you after the meeting.」、「昼寝をした後に英語の勉強をしました」は「I studied English after I took a nap.」、「私は大抵、仕事の後に運動します」は 「I usually work out after work.」と言う具合に使います。
　
＜例文＞
　
I lost touch with him after he moved to Europe.
（彼がヨーロッパに引っ越してから、彼とは連絡が途絶えました）
　
Let's go to the range and hit some balls after work.
（仕事の後に打ちっぱなしに行こうよ）
　
I usually study English after I put my kids to bed.

There are many people who can't get rid of it once they get hooked, and it's a food terrorist shop that is open 24 hours a day. However, the Yamaoka-ya itself declares that chicken chicken is different from Iekei-ramen because it does not use chicken. While developing the chain, we are particular about making soup by boiling pork bones for 3 days at each store. Also, if you show your membership card as a "JAF member preferential facility", you can get 2 char siu or 1 flavored ball, and there are various nice benefits and attractive services! Please take a look at the ramen that is full of rich flavors!
