Just wanted to share this time my process of making and painting an illustration that will be used as a book cover for the paperback version of 「江の島ねこもり食堂」(Enoshima Nekomori Syokudo). This is a novel published in Japan.

The fifth piece in the “Tokyo at Night” series of watercolors paintings.
I again used one of my own photos I took near Kagurazaka while walking late at night with Kana. The small dark alley seemed interesting but in the end I decided to paint the view one can see from the dark end of it.
