M109 is a memorable bike that has a lingering aftertaste in many riders deepest mind. Many of the members in Taiwan 109 riders club have two bikes to switch from due to different occasion. Many folks have been intimidated by the massive size of the bike, linking it to bulky and hard to pass through traffic demerit, but still fancy about the bold and mean cruiser style. Therefore, it is the battle between passion and reason before actually buying it. Once, you acquired the new bike, it is the constant mutual learning process between you and the bike. It is pretty similar the traditional Chinese arranged marriage, which is decided by your parents that you married first and get acquaintance with your bike later. The good news is that most people stuck deeply into 109’s world afterward instead of getting a divorce.
109 acceleration performances is one of the top choice in the cruiser bike world, what’s more impressing is its high speed stability. Longer wheelbase may diminish its agility in cornering, however after some riding experience; everyone could find the perfect balance to handle it. 109 has been sold more than hundreds in Taiwan, with good cost-performance ratio (Yahmaha or Honda cost much higher for the same range of bike), and a solid resale price contributing to a wide range of cruiser-lover’s attention.
Spend about half a year with your 109; you could harness this beast like riding a scooter dodging across traffic. For more than a year with it, you can speed in and out corners without a doubt, enjoying down-shifting braking and full throttle up-shifting in high speed cornering. This huge bike should handle the corners as cool as a cucumber and dashing from 0 to 60 mph in approx three seconds, thus there is almost no rival for 109 in this category.

Just looking at the reviews I got from my Nov tour. See what my guests think of my tour:
"finally a real tour!!"

By Far this has been the most memorable trip I have ever done. 2 weeks on scooters driving through some of the most beautiful jaw dropping scenery! The places we stayed at were way above my expectation for the price I paid. I honestly was prepared for crappy hostels but I was wrong. M sure has done his research on what to do and where to go where to eat. My favorite thing about the trip was that M kept the itinerary very hush hush which made every day a surprise. The wow factor was definitely up there. M is a cool guy... for a Canadian... hahaha all jokes aside M was a good sport about everything. You could tell he has put all his effort into this tour. I highly recommend this tour to ANYONE! If you're an inexperienced or experienced rider or even if you have already been to Taiwan I'd still recommend this tour on two wheels. Its nothing but good times!

"Best trip ever"

I've done a fair bit of travelling around Australia, Europe, China and Japan, but the Taiwan trip has definitely been the best one yet. We rode great roads - plenty of curvy mountain roads, incredible scenic coastal roads and everything in between. There were stops to rest, see amazing views, eat great food or other activities which I won't spoil here. We'd arrive exhausted at the hotel (which were all perfect) around sunset, have dinner and then do it all again the next day.
M, the tour guide, goes out of his way to make sure everyone has a good time and may adjust the tour slightly to cater to the particular group.
As long as you follow the tour guide's advice and a few basic rules, you're going to have a great time.

Even though I live in Taiwan and have gone around the island on motorcycle/scooter, I felt this time I got to see and experience a whole lot more. During the entire tour we stopped and saw amazing views and delicious food. I will be coming back to do this tour again soon. For the price of this tour you can't beat it.
Let's start of with M13, he's an amazing tour guide and throughout the tour he has total patience with you even if you are a beginner or have never ridden before. He has a few rules that you absolutely must follow because it's for your safety. I've adopted some of these into my rides with friends and it's made our rides safer.
Now onto the roads, I've done almost all of the ones we did on the tour and enjoyed them even more. There's plenty of twisties through the mountains with amazing views. There are also some fast and exciting portions of roads as well. You will get to ride through mountains, next to the ocean, cliffs overlooking the ocean and tons of small local TW towns.
Let's talk about food, I don't think a single one on our group would say that every meal didn't live up to their standards. It was a diverse mix of local traditional food as well as western options. All of the places he took us to for lunch and dinner were great and I will definitely stop there again.
The hotels were probably one of the best parts about the tours. Every hotel we stayed at was fantastic and a few of them even had some really amazing views. I will probably end up staying at these places when I travel through TW on my own.
For the price you simply can't beat it. I think everyone on our tour told him he needed to raise the prices by a decent amount.
Overall it was an amazing experience all thanks to M13. I can't wait to do it again, even though you're tired from an amazing day of riding and adventures. You can sit back at the hotel have some Taiwan beers and bond with the other guys or girls on the tour.

Kenting (墾丁, pronounced Ken-ding) is a popular holiday destination in Taiwan for tourists and locals. Come with us on a day trip to this beautiful place - there's lots more waiting for you here in Kenting!
HOW TO GET TO KENTING (FROM KAOHSIUNG):
FROM ZUOYING: The Kenting Express Bus leaves from Zuoying station (which contains both the high speed rail station and MRT station) and takes approximately 2.5 hours to reach Kenting Main Street. You can buy tickets from the Kenting Express Booth at the station (at the top of the escalators just outside the High Speed Rail Station) or you can buy tickets online here (http://ticket.fun2tw.com/Login.aspx). I recommend buying in advance for weekends, holidays and in peak season (July/August school holidays). The cost is nt300 per person, one way. The website is in Chinese but if you use the Chrome browser your phone/computer should automatically translate the pages - enough to figure out what you are doing. The bus has free wifi and USB charging ports.
FROM THE AIRPORT: There are also buses that leave from the Kaohsiung airport (also known as Xiaogang airport). You can only buy these tickets at the airport. There's a timetable here: http://www.ptbus.com.tw/09/%E8%87%A8918.htm. You'll notice the destination on the website reads "Xiaowan" - this beach is right next to Kenting main street.
FROM KAOHSIUNG TRAIN STATION: Buses also leave from Kaohsiung Main Station although the pickup point is not clearly signposted - it's behind the MRT station. At time of writing (April 2018) the Kaohsiung main station is under heavy construction and I would recommend just catching the MRT to Zuoying instead rather than trying to find the bus amongst the chaos!
Beware of taxi drivers convincing you to ride with them - the fare is never cheaper than the bus, they will make you wait until their taxi is full of passengers, and the ride will definitely be less comfortable. It's definitely best to ignore them and get on the bus!
What to do in Kenting
There's quite a lot to do in Kenting, Taiwan - but it might be a bit different from the beach holidays you are used to. You can:
Relax on the beach - get a beer at the beach bar at Xiaowan (https://goo.gl/maps/FexLoksFvjE2), find shelter under a crag - and if you have kids watch them play safely in the little stream that connects the river to the sea. There are also a range of water sports available here,
Browse the night market (https://goo.gl/maps/xE3cZZa5td52) - this starts at sundown and is reportedly the longest in Taiwan. My personal favourite snacks here are the fried milk and the banana pancake.
Visit the Aquarium (https://goo.gl/maps/uAuFRB7srd92) - I haven't done this yet but it's apparently a very good aquarium (just be aware that it's a bit outside Kenting, perhaps pair it with a day trip to Hengchun town),
Wander around Hengchun old town (perhaps start at Hengchun south gate (https://goo.gl/maps/eTMnSE2npC72) and work towards Hengchun old street),
Swim at Nanwan beach (https://goo.gl/maps/xbYP23YZ9AB2) - this beach is my personal favourite for swimming and it's also good for collecting shells and sea glass.
Learn to surf with Afei (who also runs a bed and breakfast): https://goo.gl/maps/tT7GEq363Xt
Enjoy a meal at Bossa Nova (https://goo.gl/maps/g1t4G8xekv52) run by a lovely Taiwanese family and their French daughter-in-law,
See fire coming out of the ground at Chuhuo natural gas spring (https://goo.gl/maps/Lncfvr5UVLs)
Bird watch at Longluantan (https://goo.gl/maps/kCtguhsi6Xk)
Eat sushi and ride in a glass bottom boat at Houbihu (https://goo.gl/maps/ZYbn5wKPMx12)
Snap a selfie at the southernmost point of Taiwan (https://goo.gl/maps/KTo14HuZc6E2)
Check out Sail Rock, a huge coral reef rock that apparently looks like President Nixon (https://goo.gl/maps/ZFLiC3Z9sf22)
How to get around Kenting
Hire an electric scooter - for nt600 per day you can hire a scooter to get around. There are many scooter hire stores on Kenting main street. No licence is needed but you do need your passport.
Catch the shuttle bus - a whole day ticket is nt150 and you can buy it on the bus - just say ONE DAY PASS clearly and they will understand. Map and timetable can be found here (http://www.ptbus.com.tw/03/0302a.htm), all in Chinese unfortunately. Alternatively, you can just pay with change as you go. The downside is that the buses don't come very often and the stops aren't that easy to find.
Taxi - being a holiday area, taxis often do not run the meter but will rather negotiate a fare with you up front. Taiwanese taxi drivers are generally not out to rip you off but you will definitely pay more than in other cities in Taiwan (if you are a westerner you will likely still think the price is very cheap compared to home). In return, you will ride in air conditioning!
