「我一直待在黑暗當中，儘管努力張開雙眼，觸目所見，依舊是一片絕望的黑。」

楊宇騰YU去年的8月12日正式出道，推出了第一張寫真EP「我的夜無所事事」，發表了一動一靜「Follow」、「水藍色情人」兩首歌曲，一個半月後，參與了We TV亞洲耽美劇「We Best Love」的演出，詮釋劇中傲嬌的男主角周書逸，人氣因此急速攀升，瞬間在世界各地出現了眾大的粉絲，「水藍色情人」也成為該劇的插曲。之後，YU在音樂方面也創下許多佳績，「水藍色情人」MV點擊率已經破340萬，專輯銷量近萬張，連續8週成為博客來實體專輯冠軍，更拿下2021年2月實體專輯總排行月冠軍，也在日本樂天華語排行榜拿下第一名。〈懷疑愛〉於8月31日零點上架，三個小時後立即登上iTunes的國語排行榜第一名，20小時在大陸網易云拿下日榜、週榜雙冠軍。

2019年10月畫家Attilio用楊宇騰的樣子畫了Kiss系列的畫作，並在法國羅浮宮展出，當時問他你的吻要給誰，答案竟然是「14歲的自己」，他想告訴14的自己：「你覺得沒人愛你，其實是自己的錯覺，繼續活下去，你就會知道你擁有很多人的愛。」這次他將14歲的那段叛逆的故事，寫進了首張自述創作的EP 《邃宇》的〈懷疑愛〉裡，這次是楊宇騰YU首度嘗試歌詞的創作，並向「水藍色情人」的作詞老師元若藍請益，學習將自己的感受和心情，精準地寫進中文歌詞中，冀盼大家能夠憑藉著他寫下的字字句句，一同進入當年他不安恐懼的世界。

此次再度與「我的夜無所事事」的製作人周志豪老師合作，〈懷疑愛〉的曲同樣是「Follow」的作曲者余竑龍老師所創作，歌曲激昂憤慨，加上YU具有磁性的抖音，辨識度超高的日式唱腔，讓這首華語歌完美呈現出日本搖滾的曲風，於現今的華語樂壇獨樹一格，呈現另一種獨特、具震撼力的音樂風貌。

「不必成為別人眼中的模樣」三部曲《君は君のままでいいんだ》（你只要是你就夠了），用日系搖滾的曲風支撐著細膩溫暖的日文歌詞，營造有如日劇的畫面感，感受充滿力量的溫暖陪伴。使用日系質感bandsound編制編曲，邀請首次合作的生命樹鼓手青春獻聲，錄製充滿情緒張力的爵士鼓，共振心跳瞬間的頻率。
