This was taken on my very last day of filming for our final episode of Sentuhan Harapan. Moments before we officially declared it's a wrap.
Here we were on the mountains on the thick forest of South India. It was an impossible place for me to get to on my own. The language barrier, the transportation difficulties, but with a great production team, it happened.

This documentary has brought me to parts of the world I have never thought I could even gain access to. Ever.
I'm so thankful. Alhamdulillah.

We spent the whole day at the top of the mountain with the 75 year old Mahadewi who is a Siddi (Indian African). You all wont believe it, but I saw her 6 packs ab.
She is that strong this woman.

But that's not what we are there for. We were there to hear her story as a woman from the Siddi community who has had her land stolen. Not any ordinary land, but a sprawling 5 acres full of healthy plantation left behind by her husband.

The team filmed with her today and we cannot wait to share with you how she was bullied with false contracts to force her out of her home. And how she isnt the only Siddi who has faced it and or is facing it.

We just reached Hubli after a long flight. Inclusive of transit delays.
The weather here is perfection.
So we drove from Hubli Airport for about an hour an a half to reach Yellapur.
We are doing reccee today and meeting the discriminated profiles that we are featuring for this episode of #SentuhanHarapan

Let's hope for good wifi.
And good internet when we get our sim cards later.
