In the past, it had always been my dream job to work as a journalist in a country where media are globally reputed. And I used to think indignantly that it’s unfortunate for me to leave the UK simply because this has been an awful year and no employers would consider hiring a foreign worker who needs visa sponsorship when locals are also losing jobs and struggling to get a new one.
　
I finally realised the UK, to say it frankly, is not as a strong and habitable country as I heard of. It is, in my completely honest opinion--overrated. →

“We all play different roles in our daily life.”
Sometimes we can be our true selves, other times we need to put on a mask to look professional.
No matter which role I’m in, I try to play the best out of it.

When I’m a flight attendant, I ensure my passenger’s safety and comfort during the flight.
When I’m a Zumba instructor, I put on a big smile and give all my energy to make people dance and sweat with me.
When I’m at home, I’m a loyal wife who takes care of my husband and the house.
When I’m back in my hometown, I’m my Mom’s little girl and her listener.

It’s never easy to strike a balance between different roles, as long as we have tried our best, there’s nothing to blame yourself for.

While you’re struggling to play each role perfectly, remind yourself not to be trapped with the labels which are given by the society.

Nobody is perfect, everyone makes mistakes, so stop beating yourself up.
Learn from the experience and carry on.

Embrace your true self. 🥰

我們每天都在扮演不同的角色。
有時候可以做自己，有時候為了看起來專業，必須戴上面具示人。
不管是什麼角色，我盡力做到最好。

當我是個空服員，我確保乘客的安全及舒適。
當我是個Zumba 舞蹈老師，我給學生滿滿的笑容及能量讓他們跟著我跳舞流汗。
當我在家時，我是個照顧老公跟家務的好老婆。
當我回娘家時，我是媽媽的心肝寶貝跟傾聽者。

在每個角色間取得平衡很不容易，只要我們盡力了，便沒什麼好遺憾的。

當你很努力地想扮演好一個完美的角色時，別忘了提醒自己：忘掉那些世俗的標籤吧！

沒有人是完美的，每個人都會犯錯；
從錯誤中汲取經驗，下次盡量不要再犯就好。

記得每天讚美自己：你已經做得很好了，不需要過度批判自己。
不管是好的或壞的經歷，都是成長的養分🌱

As drug companies race to discover treatments for the new coronavirus, big investment firms are placing cautious bets on likely winners.
製藥公司競相研發新型冠狀病毒的治療方法，大型投資公司則對押注可能的贏家保持態度謹慎。

Yet, successful efforts that could help millions—or even billions—of people, might not result in big profits for shareholders, the investors argue.
