TANAH LOT, BALI 🛕 Although Bali is famous for its amazing villas and dreamy beaches, spending half a day at Tanah Lot may just be the most spectacular experience any visitor could ever ask for. The magnificent rock formation is home to the ancient Hindu pilgrimage temple known as Pura Tanah Lot which is approximately 20 kilometres northwest of Denpasar. This mystical temple is of one the seven sea temples erected on the island - each within eyesight of the next to form a chain around the Balinese southwestern coast. 遠看海神廟，就像一隻從海底探出頭的巨獸，祂多數時間與世隔絕，唯有退潮時分，才允許世俗的腳步踏上聖地，這裡亦有我人生所見最美的夕陽，凡此種種，我都不想將祂拍成像風景明信片一般清晰亮麗，我特別選在日落來到鄰岸的高爾夫球場，捕捉廟宇的燈火，並以長時間曝光的方式來霧化海潮，為海神廟矇上一層神秘的面紗。

常有朋友問，為什麼我們明明去同一個地方，你的照片卻跟我看到的風景不一樣？

我偏愛寫實路線，不太修片，因此我真的只是記錄大自然的美而已。

所以我會鼓勵各位，多花點時間找尋好看的角度，就算用手機拍，也能享受攝影的樂趣喔～

Pura Luhur Tanah Lot of Bali, Indonesia

Looking at the Tanah Lot of Bali, it looks like a monster emerging from the sea. Before, the temple was isolated from the world; travelers could visit it only when the tide ebbed. It was here that I saw the most beautiful sunset I have ever seen. But I decided not to go for the typical postcard perfect angle, choosing instead to shoot from the golf course on the beach to catch the light in the temple. The use of a long exposure lends the picture an atmosphere of mystery.

Beautiful Bali

Bali is Indonesia's main tourist destination, with a significant rise in tourism since the 1980s. Tourism-related business makes up 80%. In 2017 TripAdvisor named Bali as the world's top destination in its Traveller's Choice award.

Bali is part of the Coral Triangle Indian Ocean, the area with the highest biodiversity of marine species especially fish and turtles. In this area alone, over 500 reef-building coral species can be found. For comparison, this is about seven times as many as in the entire Caribbean.

Bali is also home to a unified confederation of kingdoms composed of 10 traditional royal Balinese houses, each house ruling a specific geographic area. The confederation is the successor of the Bali Kingdom. The royal houses are not recognised by the government of Indonesia; however, they originated before Dutch colonisation.
