Celebration of the Father
“Behold, two of them were going that very day to a village named Emmaus, which was sixty stadia from Jerusalem. They talked with each other about all of these things which had happened. While they talked and questioned together, Jesus himself came near, and went with them. But their eyes were kept from recognizing him. He said to them, “What are you talking about as you walk, and are sad?” One of them, named Cleopas, answered him, “Are you the only stranger in Jerusalem who doesn’t know the things which have happened there in these days?” He said to them, “Foolish men, and slow of heart to believe in all that the prophets have spoken! Didn’t the Christ have to suffer these things and to enter into his glory?” Beginning from Moses and from all the prophets, he explained to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning himself. They said to one another, “Weren’t our hearts burning within us, while he spoke to us along the way, and while he opened the Scriptures to us?” They rose up that very hour, returned to Jerusalem, and found the eleven gathered together, and those who were with them, saying, “The Lord is risen indeed, and has appeared to Simon!”” (Luke 24:13-18, 25-27, 32-34 WEB)
Did you ever wonder why out of the two disciples on the road to Emmaus, only one of them was named while the other remained anonymous?
Therefore, I believe that the name “Cleopas” is crucial to understanding the significance of this passage.
Cleopas is an abbreviated form of the name Cleopatros, made of the two Greek words “kleos” (to celebrate) and pater (father). Cleopas means “celebration of the father”.
Let us see what Jesus did in the passage. He told the two discouraged disciples all about the things concerning Himself in the Old Testament Scriptures, and how He fulfilled them all at the cross.
It was a celebration of the Father, praising Him for His glorious plan of salvation that was once hidden and is now revealed through the prophets, apostles, and the other writers of the Scriptures.
When Jesus celebrated the Father with the two disciples, their hearts “burned”, likely with faith, hope, and love in response to the love and grace of God. They experienced an “Emmaus” (meaning: hot springs) in their hearts, washing away the unbelief and refreshing their spirits.
They were no longer depressed and despondent. Instead, they were filled with hope, and energized in their bodies and souls. Having just walked a long way from Jerusalem to Emmaus, they immediately set off on a journey back to announce the good news they had seen and heard.
This world needs “Cleopas”—a celebration of the Father. They need to hear about a Father God who is gracious and full of love, who freely offers salvation through Jesus Christ His Son. They need to hear that He wants to be a Father near to them and not a Judge far off; that He is reconciling the world to Himself through Jesus, welcoming them home.
“But all things are of God, who reconciled us to himself through Jesus Christ, and gave to us the ministry of reconciliation; namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to himself, not reckoning to them their trespasses, and having committed to us the word of reconciliation. We are therefore ambassadors on behalf of Christ, as though God were entreating by us: we beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. For him who knew no sin he made to be sin on our behalf; so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.” (2 Corinthians 5:18-21 WEB)
Anytime you are feeling down, you can initiate a celebration of the Father. It will cleanse you from unbelief, refresh your spirit, fill your heart with hope, and energize your body and soul!

「Hurt」
=================================
--------------------------------------------------
1) It doesn't hurt to _____
Actually I think it’s a great way to study Japanese.(アニメを見ても損はないよ。
✔「It doesn’t hurt to ask」や「It never hurts to ask」で「聞くだけ聞いてみたら」を意味する。
✔「It won’t hurt」や「It can’t hurt」と表現してもOK。
<例文>
I know you like your English teacher but it doesn't hurt to take lessons from other teachers.
I know that he's really busy with work but it never hurts to ask. He might help you out.
It won't hurt to try. That's the only way you'll find out.
--------------------------------------------------
2) Hurt someone's feelings
✔「私は〜に傷ついた」は「I was hurt by _____.」
<例文>
Why did you lie to her? You really hurt her feelings.
I'm sorry if I hurt your feelings. I didn't mean it.
I can't believe you made fun of me in front of everyone. I was hurt by that.
--------------------------------------------------
3) Hurt one's chance to/of _____
<例文>
You failed one of your classes? That's going to hurt your chances to study abroad.
Barry Bonds is a great baseball player but his use of steroids hurts his chances of getting into the Hall of Fame.
That actor was caught drinking and driving. That's going to hurt his reputation.
--------------------------------------------------
4) (That) hurts
<例文>
The fine for the speeding ticket hurts. I'm all out of money.
The truth hurts doesn't it?
You totaled your car? That's got to hurt. How are you going to get to work?

I had prepared this profile picture for a job that fell through. Though my heart was crushed, I’ve learnt that there’s always a reason behind things - though I was highly disappointed, I put faith in HIM knowing HE knows best.
There was a time I felt just as saddened and it took me a week to get over “losing” a glossy gig.
At the 11th hour, global decided to not proceed and I was already in the midst of preparing for the one month shoot down south.
The worst part was not understanding why they changed their minds.
As I was moping about, another offer propped up last minute and in that period I was supposed to film the series? I was enjoying Hawai’i with @joelebosi instead.
It was a perfect 50th birthday celebration as we celebrated it at the 50th State of The United States of America.
Had I been in that previous shoot, I would have not had the opportunity to explore a place which Azmi had always wanted to take me to relive his childhood watching … yes … you guessed it … HAWAII 5-0!
(Jeng jeng jeng jeng jeng jeng … jeng jeng jeng jeng jenggggg)
Back to present times.
I still don’t know why God put a spanner in the wheels for this job; but what I DO know is … something is baking … brewing … and I can’t wait to share more with all of you.

* Preheating is necessary. You must preheat the oven, and please start baking when the oven reaches a set temperature.
* The result of baking may be changed depending on each oven at home. The temperature and the baking time in this recipe are only a guide. Please check the degree of baking stuff before taking it out from the oven, and then take it out.
* In the video, it’s baked in the normal mode of heating up and down. When using the convection function or gas oven, lower the temperature by 10-20 ℃ and bake.

「But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth: that thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father who seeth in secret shall recompense thee. And in praying use not vain repetitions, as the Gentiles do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. Be not therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him. For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. Moreover when ye fast, be not, as the hypocrites, of a sad countenance: for they disfigure their faces, that they may be seen of men to fast. Verily I say unto you, They have received their reward. But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is the darkness! yet I say unto you, that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. But if God doth so clothe the grass of the field, which to-day is, and to-morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith? But seek ye first his kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.」
Matthew 6:3-4, 7-8, 14, 16, 23, 29-30, 33 ASV

In recent years, I have given a speech about photography, creation, short video, marketing and belief on campus for several times. Although I’m still not an impressive speaker, I meet great people through the process, so that I keep collecting myself: What am I doing? Why I do this?
Thank Change Maker for inviting Yu-Lin from “Used Shoes Save Lives” and me to share about “crossover” this time. I want to share my experience to push people who are hesitating to step out of the comfort zone.
Many people were crazy about Tokyo Olympics, in addition Lin Yun-Ju played the epic game seven! So many friends asked me if I could record a video……and with a lot of work I got the audio file which was full of “Ding-dong” from the host. Hope you support me and make do with it, haha.
It’s wonderful to have friends like you! I’ll keep going like Olympian!

Woo really really like you
I remember
Cuz I'm with you
Really like you 請務必握緊我的手
I really like you
I really really like you
With you
Forever with us
I remember
Cuz I'm with you
Really like you 請務必握緊我的手
I really like you
I really really like you

Really like you 我會一直握緊你的手
