✹ ABOUT EXHIBITON
"Allergy"- the body's coping mechanism. It is how our immune system reacts to the outside world.
Growth, Transformation, Stimulation, Pause, Respite, Struggle, Attachment, Security.
These are the emotions that I have experienced from allergic reactions then turned into paintings.
Such as sticky saliva and secretions, they piled up and reincarnated to who I am.
This is how this first solo exhibition was born, an intimate story that connects me to the outside world.
✹ ABOUT ARTIST
Hltoo
Hsianglin Tseng / Hltoo.
Born in 1992, an Illustration artist, and visual designer.
Hltoo has a hard time identifying her name, who gets chills down her spine when being called by her real name (That only she knows).Ironically, “HItoo” is an abbreviated name that she couldn't even pronounce it herself.
People often misjudge Hltoo as an extrovert, truth to be told, she has an extremely contradicting mind that would make her wake up in the middle of the night and start spiraling. Hltoo doesn’t limit her art style, her work is dedicated to restless textures and catching strings of emotions from the space that she then turns into images.
Quiet yet powerful, she tries to use the warmth from pen and paper to communicate to the world.
✹《 Hltoo 》《 The Black Book

1. “Our Lives are defined by opportunities, even the ones we miss”.

3. “It is not our abilities that show what we truly are… it is our choices”.
4. “Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it”. (Kỳ nghỉ của Ferris Bueller, 1986)
Cuộc sống trôi qua rất nhanh. Nếu bạn không dừng lại và quan sát dù chỉ một lần, bạn có thể lỡ mất điều gì đó.
5. “You cannot live your life to please others. The choice must be yours”.
6. “No matter what anybody tells you, words and ideas can change the world”. (Hội cố thi nhân, 1989)
Bất kể ai đó có nói gì, ngôn từ và ý tưởng chính là những thứ có thể thay đổi cả thế giới.
7. “To find something, anything, a great truth or a lost pair of glasses, you must first believe there will be some advantage in finding it”.
8. “All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us”.
9. “They don’t know about real loss, because that only occurs when you love something more than you love yourself”. (Chàng Will tốt bụng, 1997)
10. “To see the world, things dangerous to come to, to see behind walls, to draw closer, to find each other and to feel. That is the purpose of life”.
11. “Don’t ever let somebody tell you you can’t do something, not even me. Alright? You dream, you gotta protect it. People can’t do something themselves, they wanna tell you, you can’t do it. If you want something, go get it. Period”.
Period.
12. “Oh yes, the past can hurt. But you can either run from it, or learn from it”.
13. “We are who we choose to be”. (Người nhện, 2002)
Chúng ta trở thành người mà chúng ta chọn.
14. “Say ‘Please’ and ‘Thank you’ even if you’re feeling grumpy”. (Nàng Bạch Tuyết và bảy chú lùn, 1937)
Hãy nói “Xin phép” và “Cảm ơn” kể cả khi bạn cảm thấy khó chịu.
15. “Today’s special moments are tomorrow’s memories”. (Aladdin và Cây đèn thần, 1992)

My home trip has been almost half way! Since left Europe, gradually leaving the comfortable environment, as Alice in Wonderland, everything for me are so novelty and try to overcome the fear of the unknown heart. After enter Iran, the people are so different as before what I heard: “full of terrorist!!” They always said, my friend welcome to Iran and Iranians love tourists; they feel that you must want to visit the church; or think you are an alcoholic and they can find a way...

Germany> Austria > Italy> Greece> Turkey> Iran> Turkmenistan> Uzbekistan> Kyrgyz> China> Taiwan
Today is the 60th day of my journey back home, currently I am in Brindisi, Italy. Tonight 8pm I will leave Italy and go to Greece. People always ask me: „Why are you doing this kind of trip?” Sometimes I answer this question in a very simple, official kind of way, sometimes I start answering with a seemingly endless story, but in fact all my replies are reasons why I am doing this trip back home.
I am 30 years old now. On this 14,000-kilometres-trip I want to find out what “home” means for me, what it means for us. I want to go slowly, soak up everything I see, really get to know the people I meet and live together with along the way. What is home? Where is home? While in Rome, I read this saying: „Home is wherever people love you”. So am I looking for people who love me? In Germany, there are people who love me; in Italy, some people said they love me; In Taiwan, there are people who love me and wait for me to come back. Therefore, if I can truly love myself, maybe I can be a “home” for myself; and if I am able to share love with the people around me, I can be their “home”. Now that I have the chance to reach the corner of the world and to share this love with all the people I meet, that “home” will grow bigger and bigger; And by sharing those encounters with the people who follow my blog, through my words and images that “home” might become an infinite space that connects all of us together. I wish you can support my trip , if you have the time, read the articles I write, click “like” ( although my writing is not very good, but I am trying to improve ! !), and you are more than welcome to put forward ideas. If you have some spare money to help me complete this journey, you can be sure that I´m gonna spend it wisely and only where necessary. If you like my project then you can also support me by sharing my facebook-page with your friends!
Thank you for your patience. I wish all of you peace and hppiness.
一、 Project Proposal: Biking 14,000 kms back home
二、 Introduction:
November in 2013 will be an end time of my working holiday visa in Germany. I was thinking about a fun, different and "Green" way to get back home, as I really care about nature. A sudden thought came into my mind: Why not grab a bike, and ride it all the way back home! Starting from Munich Germany, all the way to Beijing China. Cycling across 11 countries, experiencing how the cultural differences shift from the West to the East, following the steps from pathfinders thousands of years ago - "The Silk Road".
三、 Objective:
Silk Road opened at some point thirteen hundred years ago. More than just a trade route, the Silk Road played a great role in promoting friendly relations, economic and cultural exchanges between China and Asia, European and African countries. Our ancestors conducted friendly exchanges through the Silk Road long time ago. The classic Chinese novel Monkey King/Journey to the West written by Wu Ch'eng-en was the story about a trip taken on this very path. The story was based on a real historical character: Master Xuan Zang, who traveled back and forth between India and China in seeking the truth of lives enlighten by Buddha. As a Buddhist, I want to find the truth of my life too. Through this journey, riding my bike back home from west to east, using the most primitive and green methods-biking, following the way from the master, following the way how he figured out the truth about my life.
四、 Agenda:
11/2013 - 07/2014 (approx. 8 months)
五、 Executive:
Min & Partners wanted.
六、 Transportation:
Bike 70%, Ferry 5%, Train 10%, Airplane 15%

In this video, I will show you how to make Chicken Egg sandwich and BLT sandwich for afternoon tea time :)
Easy and delicious!!!
---------------------------------
Afternoon Tea Sandwiches (Chicken Egg & BLT)
Difficulty: Easy
Time: 30min
Number of servings: 4 people
Ingredients:
((Chicken Egg Sandwich))
120g (4.2oz.) chicken breast
100g (3.5oz.) potato
1 hard-boiled egg
A
* 3 tbsp. mayonnaise
* 1 tsp. whole-grain mustard
* salt and pepper
8 slices rye bread
((BLT Sandwich))
6 bacon strips
1 tomato
4-8 leaves iceberg lettuce
A
* 1 tbsp. ketchup
* 1/2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
mayonnaise
8 slices white bread
Directions:
((Chicken Egg Sandwich))
1. Cut the chicken breast into chunks. Peel and slice the potato into round slices. Place them on a microwavable dish, season with salt and pepper, cover with plastic wrap, and cook in the microwave for 4-5 minutes (500w). When you uncover, be careful as steam and water are very hot.
2. Mash the potato slices with a fork while they are hot. Allow to cool the chicken breast and shred with your hands. Chop the hard-boiled egg.
3. Mix A in a bowl, add (2.), and mix well.
4. Spread 1/4 of the mixture on a slice of bread. Then top with another slice of bread.
5. Cut off the crusts and cut each sandwich into fingers.
((BLT Sandwich)
1. Cut bacon strips into halves. In a pan, fry bacon until crispy (until it reaches the crispiness you want), then drain on paper towels. Slice the tomato and remove the seeds.
2. Spread some mayonnaise on 4 slices of bread. Spread some A on the other 4 slices of bread.
3. Place lettuce leaves on a mayo-spreaded bread. Then place a sliced tomato and bacon strips. Top with a ketchup mixture-spreaded bread.
4. Cut off the crusts and cut each sandwich into fingers.
You can spread some softened butter on your bread if you like. But I don't like it... haha
