BBC News 中文(繁體)這麼偏頗可以嗎?
如果要報導中台關係 與其武斷下結論 希望這位記者有機會來台灣了解
BBC News, Taiwan is facing serious military and diplomatic threats from the Chinese government. How can you jump to the conclusion that the government is “RELUCTANT to purchase vaccines” in order to “SAVE FACE”. Isn't your report too biased?

--以下為原文逐字稿--
Two Taiwnese firms have taken matters into their own hands to buy a large consignment of Pfizer Biontech Covid jabs after the government was reluctant to purchase the medicine because it’s being distributed by a company based in mainland China.
Asia Pacific editor Michael: “Taiwan and China are currently locked in this bitter diplomatic dispute over the future status of Taiwan. China wants it to be part of China. Taiwan thinks it should be independent. That’s the background. So in Taiwan over recent months there’s been a surge of Covid cases, and the Taiwanese government has been desperate to get hold of vaccines. It got AZ, got Moderna. It hasn’t been able to get the Pfizer Biontech. That’s because in that region, in East Asia, it’s been distributed by a Chinese company. Taiwanese government was unwilling because of those reasons I just mentioned to deal directly with a Chinese company. So what’s happened is these two Taiwanese firms stepped in: they bought 10 million doses of Pfizer Biontech vaccines from this Chinese company and they are going to hand it over to Taiwan. They spent 350 million dollars. In effect, these companies have acted as intermediate just so that the Taiwanese government can save face not to deal directly with this Chinese company.

With company capitalization rising from tens of millions NT dollars to over NT$800 million, Taiwan company Enrestec spends over NT$30 million on R&D personnel alone each year.
What makes Enrestec willing to pump so much money into research and development? “Waste tires are a worldwide problem we’re sure we can resolve,” asserts Lu Tai Jung, the company’s number-two shareholder, adding “If you’re going to do something, success is not an option.”

A lawsuit filed by Nu Skin shareholders against the company appears to be drawing to a conclusion.
The class-action lawsuit was filed in February 2014, accusing Nu Skin of misleading investors about the legality of its operations in China.
Chinese media reported suspicions Nu Skin was operating a pyramid scheme in January 2014. A subsequent investigation by Chinese authorities saw Nu Skin fined $781,000.
The class-action lawsuit has been quietly playing out over the past two years, with news yesterday of a potential $47 million dollar settlement.
The settlement, which will be paid by Nu Skin’s insurers, is not expected to result in a net charge to the company’s income statement, Nu Skin said in a filing.
The company said the deal is subject to court approval and a final approval is expected in mid-2016.
The settlement would see an end to class-action lawsuit. The impact on Nu Skin’s global business operations, if any, is as of yet unclear.
Following the shutdown of Nu Skin’s Chinese pyramid scheme, profit plummeted by 63%.
The status of the SEC investigation, purportedly also looking into Nu Skin’s Chinese pyramid scheme operations, remains unclear.
In other Nu Skin news, the company recently lost an appeal in Japan over a customs dispute.
Following the loss in court, Nu Skin are now liable for around $32 million dollars in customs duties.
