去到蘇格蘭首都Edinburgh 同獨立酒瓶廠Douglas Laing嘅代表Chris Leggat及Uisge Source 蘇格蘭飲威士忌用嘅水嘅老闆Graeme Lindsay會面, 試咗5款混合威士忌,其實係香港都試過晒,我最鍾意係Scallywag (雪梨桶、蜜糖、果香、香料等)同Rock Oysters(非常海洋味及少少泥煤)。Graeme分享其實飲唔同區嘅威士忌,係應該跟番嗰區嘅水先啱,用錯水係會減低威士忌嘅最佳狀態。係Edinburgh終於做下遊客啦,去咗Harvey Nichols 頂樓嘅bar飲香檳、食生蠔!夜晚食傳統蘇格蘭美食Haggis,我麻麻地😝!
Went to Edinburgh, d capital of Scotland for whisky tasting w independent bottler Douglas Laing's rep Chris Leggat & Uisge Source whisky water's boss Graeme Lindsay, trying 5 different whiskies, which u can find in HK. I like Scallywag (Sherry cask, more fruity, toasty & spicy)& Rock Oysters (lightly peated & v mineral) d most. Graeme explained that it's d best to pair d same region's whisky w d same mineral water, it will bring the best out of d whisky. I finally do some tourist shopping & sight seeing. I went to Harvey Nichols roof top bar for champagne & oysters with d shopping group! d weather is superb! I also tried d traditional Scottish food Haggis! It's not my cup of tea! Haha!
