Who doesn't like hawker food? We all miss sitting down in a hawker centre or kopitiam to makan right? So I bought these amazing nice fishballs and kuey teow/flat rice noodles, and thought I should make the simpliest ikan bilis/anchovies broth as the soup base. This soup is so easy to make. My Poh Poh used to cook for us, especially on her busy days. It takes less than half an hour to be ready.

Ingredients :
- 2.5 litres water (or depending on your portion)
- 20 Fish Balls or chicken fillets or fish fillets
- 1 whole lettuce or any kind of vegetable
- Salt to taste
- White Pepper
- 2 tbs Oil
- 1 pack Kuey Teow noodles or any noodles
- Hand full of Ikan Bilis

Do cut some fresh chilis with soy sauce to serve with it.

【皮膚護理】頓時讓你年輕的三個部位

初夏快到，照鏡時發現手肘、膝蓋與腋下皮膚黑黑的，感覺超顯老！這些都是大家容易忽略護理的部位，這些部位的皮膚薄，皮脂分泌少，相對顯得沒有光澤，加上受紫外線傷害及角質層堆積，皮膚就變得暗沉、粗糙甚至乾裂。以下教你護理三步曲，美白回春！

1. 去角質＋美白
準備一小碗食用梳打粉，加入少許水拌勻成膏狀，塗抹在手肘、膝蓋處輕輕打圈按摩數分鐘，用水洗淨。然後以白芷6克磨粉，加入少許蜂蜜，外敷黯黑皮膚位置3-5分鐘後洗乾淨即可。

2. 保濕
進行面部護理時，把化妝水、精華液、乳液抹到手肘、膝蓋、腋下均勻按摩，含有美白成份的護膚品亦可。

3. 防曬
如穿短袖衫、短裙/褲，外出時勿忘替手肘及膝蓋塗抹防曬霜，進行戶外活動更要每兩小時補防曬一次。

Three body parts that will make you look younger

Summer is coming. When we look at our elbows, knees, and underarms, they always appear dark and dull, and these would make us appear much older! We often overlook these body parts in our skincare routine. These areas have very delicate skin and fewer sebaceous glands.

The skin around these body parts can become dull, dry, and rough easily because they do not have a bright tone to begin with, and are constantly damaged by the UV ray and the accumulation of stratum corneum. Here are three steps to help you restore your youth!

1. Exfoliate ＋ whiten
Prepare a bowl of edible baking soda, add in a little water, and turn it into a paste. Smear the mixture around the elbows and knees, massage them in a circular motion for a few minutes, and clean it with water. Next, add some honey to 6g of Angelica dahurica (‘Bai Zhi’), apply the mixture on the dark and dull skin for 3-5 minutes, and then wash it off.

2. Hydrate
When carrying out our skincare routine, apply toner, serum, and lotion evenly on the elbows, knees, and underarms and massage them accordingly. Any skincare products with whitening properties will do.

3. Apply sunscreen
Do not forget to apply sunscreen on the elbows and knees if we plan to wear shirts with short sleeves or short pants/skirts when we are traveling out. Remember to apply a fresh layer of sunscreen once every two hours when we carry out outdoor activities.

A week had already passed since our last upload. We hope you had a great week~

Since Jo just got a new sketchbook, we thought of doing another “Paint with Us” vlog. Each day is pretty much similar but nevertheless, unique in its own way. Today’s coffee is not yesterday’s coffee. Today’s painting is not yesterday’s painting. Today’s bread is not yesterday’s bread. We got to love the little things in life. Because the littlest things in life is where we find real joy ?

✨Hotteok Recipe✨
for 3-4 person

:: Ingredients ::
180g Water
1 1/2 Tsp Year
1 Tbsp Cooking
250 All-Purpose Flour
1 1/2 Tbsp Sugar
A pinch of Salt

Filling
40g Crushed Nuts
50g Brown Sugar

:: Instructions ::
1. Mix lukewarm water and dry yeast in a bowl. Stir well and add Cooking Oil
2. Add Flour, Sugar and salt into the wet mixture and mix them well.
3. Cover and let rise in room temperature for 1 hour or double the size
4. For Filling, mix Sugar and Nuts in a new boil and set aside
5. After an hour, heat a pan with oil (I’ve tried with less or and more oil and they both taste really good. It really up to your preference ?)
6. Coat your palms with oil and take a piece of the dough. Flatten it and add filling in the centre.
7. Close it up and cook in pan.
8. When one side of the Hotteok turns golden brown, flip it to the other side and press it down.
9. Do the same with the rest of the dough~
10. Enjoy while it’s still hot ?

✨Soufflé Pancake✨
9 mini pancakes

:: Ingredients ::
4 egg yolks
4 egg whites
9 tsp all purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
2 tsp vanilla extract
2 tbsp milk
3 tbsp sugar

:: Instructions ::
1. Combine egg yolks, baking powder, vanilla extract, milk & all purpose flour into a bowl and mix them well
2. Whisk egg whites until it turn frothy & pale white. Then slowly add sugar. Continue whisking until it become glossy & firm.
3. Add two scoops of egg white into the egg yolk mixture and mix them.
4. Transfer the egg yolk mixture into the whisked egg white & gently fold mixtures together.
5. Heat up a non stick pan over low heat. Lightly brush oil using a paper towel to rub it around.
6. Scoop batter onto the pan. Add a few spoons of water & cover them with a lid. Let it cook for around 5-6 minutes.
7. Gently flip over then pancakes & repeat the process. Cook for another 4-5 minutes.
8. Add whatever toppings you love and ENJOY~

✨Bagel Recipe✨
8 servings

:: Ingredients ::
320g Bread Flour (But normal Flour will do too)
3 tsp Yeast
2 1/2 tbsp Sugar
1 tsp Salt
190g Water (Adjustable)

:: Instructions ::
1. Mix all above ingredients in a mixer
2. Slow speed mix for 2 minutes. Then medium speed for 7 minutes
3. Move dough into a clean bowl, cover it and let rest for 30 minutes
4. Divide dough into 8 equal balls
5. Let rest for 20 minutes
6. Shape balls into bagel shapes (they don’t have to be the way I shaped the they)
7. Let rest for another 20 minutes
8. Boil water and add 1/2 tbsp of sugar
9. Boil bagels for around 20 seconds on each side
10. Preheat oven to 200 °C and bake for 15-20 minutes (I didn't use parchment paper in this video because I ran out of parchment paper hehe~ You can use them if you have them)
11. ENJOY~
