「おごる」や「ご馳走する」は英語で？

これまで多くの生徒さんから質問があった「おごる」や「ご馳走する」の英語についてご紹介いたします。夕食をご馳走したり、お酒をおごったり、状況に応じた適切な表現をマスターしましょう！
～食事／飲み物をおごる場合～

1) I'll get / I got it
→「私がおごるよ（払うよ）」
--------------------------------------------------
このフレーズはカジュアルで最も頻繁に使われるフレーズです。“it”は伝票のことを指すので、代わりに「I'll get the bill/check/tab」と言うこともでき、お会計のタイミングに使います。友達や家族に「私が払うよ」とフレンドリーな感じで言うイメージです。
✔おごってもらった相手に「次回おごるよ」は「I'll get it/you next time.」
＜例文＞
I'll get it.
（おごるよ。）
Don't worry guys. I'll get the bill today.
（心配せんでええから。今日は俺のおごりやし。）
Thanks Pete. I'll get you next time.
（ピーターさんありがとう。次回おごるね。）

2) It's on me.
→「私のおごりです」

上記同様にネイティブによく使われる表現です。ここの“It”は“Dinner（食事）”や“Drinks（飲み物）”を指すので、「Dinner is on me（食事は私のおごりです）」や「Drinks are on me（飲み物は私のおごりです）」と言うこともでき、お会計のとき以外にも「今夜おごるから食べに行こう」のように、友達や同僚を食事に誘うシチュエーションでも使われます。
＜例文＞
It's on me tonight.
（今夜は私のおごりです。）
Let's grab dinner tonight. It's on me.
（今夜、夕食を食べに行こう！おごるよ。）
Drinks are on John.
（飲物代はジョンのおごりやって。）

3) (It's) my treat
→「ご馳走する」
--------------------------------------------------
このフレーズは「It's on me」よりも丁寧な言い方で、何か特別な出来事があった時や、大事なお客さんに対しても使われます。お会計時は「It's my treat」、食事に誘う時は「I’ll treat you」と表現します。
✔“It's”を省いて「My treat」でもOK。
＜例文＞
It's my treat tonight.
（今夜は私がご馳走します。）
Don't worry about the bill. My treat.
（お会計の心配はいりません。ごちそうしますので。）
I'll treat you to lunch this weekend.
（今週末、ランチをご馳走するよ。）
～飲み物をおごる場合～

1) I'll buy you a drink
→「一杯おごるよ」
--------------------------------------------------
バーで「一杯おごるよ」とカジュアルに言う場合によく使われる定番フレーズです。
＜例文＞
I'll buy you a drink. What do you want?
（一杯おごるよ。何がいい？）
Let me buy you a drink.
（一杯おごらせてーなー）
Let's go to the bar. I'll buy you a drink.
（バーに行こうよ！一杯おごるからさっ！）

2) This round is on me
→「このラウンドは私がおごります」

アメリカではバーに行ったとき、一緒に飲んでいる人の飲み物をまとめて買う習慣があり、これを英語で“Round”と言います。例えば友達３人と飲みに行った場合、３人分（全員分）のドリンクを買うことを「Buy a round」と表現します。
✔「I'll get this round」でもOK。
＜例文＞
This round is on me. What do you want?
（このラウンドは私がおごるよ。何がいい？）
Do you want another round?
（もう一杯飲みますか？）
I'll get this round. Beers OK?
（このラウンドは私がおごるでー。ビールでええか？）
