1. Now, let’s talk about fashion. Do you care about fashion?
Of course, I am fashion-conscious. I follow a lot of fashion accounts on Instagram, not to mention tons of fashion shops as well. I must say that I am always aware of what I’m putting on, you know, sometimes it takes me like hours to decide what I’m going to wear.
2. What kinds of clothes do you usually wear?
It depends on what I’m doing really. If I go to work, I would wear something casual like shirts or jeans. if I hang out with my friends, putting on a dress wouldn’t be a bad choice, right? And if I stay at home, I just wear something comfortable like T-shirts or shorts.
3. Where do you usually buy your clothes?
I used to go to trendy shops when I was a student, but now since I have to work and I have little time for shopping I just go to a shopping centre or department store and just get everything from there.
4. Have you ever bought clothes online?
Yes, of course. As I mentioned before, I’m all swamped with work right now, so browsing online to shop is very convenient and I can have all my clothes shipped directly to my house.
5. What is your favorite item of clothing?
Tough question, I think it also depends on the weather. If the weather is kind of hot, it would be perfect if you put on a sundress with floral printed pattern on it. And if the weather gets a bit chilly, I would definitely go for a long wool coat which would be stylish yet functional.
6. Do people from your country think fashion is important?
I think they are getting more and more fashion-conscious than ever. I think this is because now they are more self-centered and they want to identify themselves distinctively from other people so they kind of choose to express themselves through the way they dress. The more trendy and fashionable their clothes are, the more confident they will become I suppose.

【Under the "New Normal", What's the Darkness and Light for Our Favourite Online Stores? -- 新冠肺炎疫情改變了我們的生活和工作方式,以上是我對線上產業的一些觀察】
COVID-19 seems to make our old shopping experience a blur. And our new online shopping habits are formed under the pandemic.
I remember vividly, the first time that I could go to the Canberra Centre when restrictions have been lifted, I found that my shopping habits and desires have changed completely. Before COVID-19, I was very found of shopping for clothing, accessories and taking a look at what’s the latest at the Flight Centre shop front. Now, I am no longer interested in buying anything that’s “non-essential”. But when it comes to online buying, our household weekly shopping has almost shifted entirely to online order and home delivery services.
There are millions if not billions of people are changing their buying habits like me. During COVID-19, health and safety is the top concern and priority in life. Furthermore, there are isolation restrictions, social distancing measures and working from home practices put in place in many countries across the globe. Consumers have been making the conscious decision of avoiding public places or anyplace that is crowded to reduce that chances of getting infected by the virus.
The below data demonstrates the impact that COVID-19 has for eCommerce across the globe. This pandemic not only changed the way we live and work, but also fundamentally altered the retail industry.
~ Australian ecommerce grew more than 80 per cent year on year (YOY) in the 8 weeks after the COVID-19 pandemic was declared by the World Health Organisation.
~ U.S. retailers' online year-over-year (YoY) revenue growth is up 68% as of mid-April, surpassing an earlier peak of 49% in early January.
~ There's been a 129% year-over-year growth in U.S. & Canadian e-commerce orders as of April 21 and an impressive 146% growth in all online retail orders.
~ China’s online grocery market can expect to grow 62.9% in 2020 to 264 billion RMB compared to a 29.2% growth last year.
In my opinion, there are very real challenges for e-commerce business, but at the same time, there are promising opportunities as well. E-commerce businesses must get ready to face the light and darkness of the age of COVID-19.
I would like to highlight one key aspect that businesses have to consider. It is digital transformation. If digital transformation is not done fast enough, it might result into the collapse of the business under COVID-19.
“Digital transformation: A staged programme of business improvements to people, process and tools used for integrated digital marketing to maximise the potential contribution of digital technology and media to business growth”
There are online stores and retail businesses which are experiencing strong growth under COVID-19, yet others are bumping into troubles. For example, while major shopping centres suffer but an online doctor service, Prime Medic which was launched last year has grown 1000 percent. Sofi Spritz, Australia’s largest independent pre-batched cocktail business, its online sales were up 300 per cent. While the famous active wear brand, Lorna Jane has been fined almost $40,000 over claims that its products could protect again coronavirus, and this might have a negative impact on the brand’s reputation and might affect sales online.
新冠肺炎疫情改變了我們的生活和工作方式,這篇文章是我對線上產業的一些觀察,和你們分享。

I know many of my friends are really environmental-conscious that they reducing consumption on plastic, paper, using less light, air-con and shopping less & less on clothing.
Meanwhile, one of the actions that you could actually do three times a day, in every meal... is eating less meat. I seldom talk about this cause I think being vegetarian/ vegan should be a conscious choice of yours. You simply want to do it for your self for a more beautiful and healthy lifestyle.
But we also have to understand that, we as human being are no different than the animal, nature and the earth. We are interconnected, we are "#InterBeing". Every single action of us have an effect on this "inter-being" - maybe it is also what #karma tells, it will come back to us, just in a matter of time.
Therefore, I invite all of you who spent precious time read this little long message that I wrote this morning, to be more #mindful in every single action, every single meal...
The nature feeds us & you can make an action!

"The problem, however, is not totally out of people’s hands. Studies have shown that the fires aren’t caused by natural occurrences, but by humans--our love for meat, to be exact.
The fires are caused by burning fallen trees to make way for cattle ranching, a growing industry in Brazil and the wider region. Data from the Institute of Environmental Research in Amazonia (IPAM) show that the top ten municipalities in Amazonia with the most fire occurrences also had the biggest deforestation rates this year.
The most practical solution people can adopt to help is to reduce--or stop--their meat intake."

I recently decided to take a 3-5 month trip to Taiwan and because I wanted to stick with my commitment to sustainable fashion, I decided to pack a capsule wardrobe.
This 33-piece wardrobe includes daily wear, clothing for special occasions, outerwear, shoes, workout clothing, and pajamas. I really tried to pack as many versatile pieces as I could while still keeping the weather in mind. Winter in Taiwan ranges with a high of 75°F (24°C) and a low of 55°F (13°C). It’s relatively moderate but because humidity is so high, it can sometimes feel colder than it actually is.
My biggest consideration in deciding what to pack was the different activities that I wanted to participate in. Here are is a try-on of the pieces that I decided to go with!

Slow Fashion Season is right around the corner and to prepare for it, I decided to reorganize my closet and do the Closet Mass Index.
What is Slow Fashion Season?
Slow Fashion Season is a collaborative challenge where tens of thousands of people across the globe vow to slow down their clothing consumption for three months. When you sign up, you promise to purchase no new garments from June 21 to September 21. This year, they made a small adjustment to the “nothing new” rule to allow consumers to support small sustainable fashion brands.

How Does The Closet Mass Index Help?
The Closet Mass Index is a tool developed by fashion design students in Amsterdam to help consumers better understand what they actually own. It prompts you to sort your garments into four categories: ”new,” “secondhand,” “gifted,” and “unworn”. Knowing exactly what you own can help you stay focused on thrifting garments that elevate and enhance your wardrobe instead of falling for impulse purchases
