Was just making coffee, and suddenly it hit me, I need to cry.
Out of nowhere, I just felt these emotions rushing through my veins and searching for an outlet, so I gave in, and let my tears flow.
Maybe because I’m an actor and I’m used to being sensitive to my body, I know this is just a physical reflex for being stuck at home due to this drastic change in life style, and also the unknown in front of me everyday puts a lot of pressure onto my subconscious. Mentally I know as long as I have my health, I will get through this, but emotionally I’ve been taking up a lot, and today, while I was making coffee, the cup that contains all my emotions was full, and it spilt, and I willingly let it, because it’s necessary.
I know for sure that I am not alone in this situation, there are many of us out there doing the same thing, but don’t speak of it, or hide it, or let it take over and turn into something worse. We post happy pretty pictures telling people that we’re doing fine, yet we don’t show people this side of us. I’m posting this to tell everybody that it’s ok to cry. It’s ok to feel fed up with all this, and I’m going through that right now. In fact, it is necessary to allow yourself such expression, and now that we’re stuck at home, we don’t have to hide! Just let it out! Because if we keep it in and just tell ourselves “ok la, no use in crying! Doesn’t help....” it will make things worse, it’s like putting a bandage on a leaking cup, it won’t help and when your cup overflows, it’s gonna be extremely messy, you don’t want that. Recognize your feelings and acknowledge them. I’m sure I’ll be posting my stupid drawings or pictures of me happily playing with my dog in 15 minutes, but now, I acknowledge the fact that I’m down and telling YOU, who’s also in the same state, that you’re not alone and it’s fucking OK! I’m virtually hugging each and everyone of you who’s reading this. This moment will pass and we’ll be watching Netflix and eating potato chips in no time, it’s just a moment, let it happen, you need it.
Love you.
