[Yoga is a dance]
It’s true, the external practice(Yang) can affect the internal(Yin). But even more so vise versa. Hence, in Chinese we say Yin Yang, and not Yang Yin.
There’re always subtle shifts happening between Yin and Yang during the practice. But the real practice lies in being able to observe that shift. How much is too much? How much is too little? When do we resist? When do we surrender?
It is like a dance with gravity. Like any good dance partner, you pay attention to both your partner and yourself, not just yourself alone. You lead and sometime you follow. And when you do that, you’ll enjoy the dance. But if you try to control too much, you will always be dancing alone.
