馬啟思處長今天與美國環保署代理助理署長Jane Nishida, 美國環保署第九分署長Jared Blumenfeld, 及環保署署長魏國彥一同出席地球日的活動, 並慶祝國際環境夥伴計畫一週年紀念。
In honor of Earth Day, AIT Director Christopher J. Marut chose to ride in AIT’s new Ford Fusion Hybrid vehicle to his morning meetings today. Hybrid vehicles use a combination of battery power and gasoline, reducing emissions and conserving fossil fuels to make a greener planet. AIT intends to add other similar green vehicles to its motor pool fleet.
AIT Director Marut joined U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Acting Assistant Administrator for International and Tribal Affairs Jane Nishida, Region 9 Administrator Jared Blumenfeld, and Taiwan Environmental Protection Administration Minister Wei Kuo-yen at a ceremony today to celebrate Earth day and commemorate the first anniversary of the International Environmental Partnership.
