京都│蔬食夜生活
京都的素食店營業時間都非常「正常」,像我這種生活在繁忙的香港、習慣了「不正常」的飲食時間的人,去到京都常常吃閉門羹!但是居然被我找到一家開到12am的素食店 - Natural Food Village
在門外已經聽到店裡好像有人唱歌,一走進去,果然有live band,大家都拿著飲料站起來跟著旋律搖擺著身體,非常輕鬆自在地感覺。我們找了後排的位置先安頓下來點餐,我點了春卷、粉絲、咖哩、炒意大利麵、旦糕,還有果菜露。每一道菜都蠻驚豔的,春卷炸的剛剛好,脆而不膩;咖哩不會太辣,很適合我這種怕辣但又想吃辣矛盾的人;炒意大利麵是我最喜歡的,麵條不會太硬或太軟,搭配簡單的蔬菜,居然這麼好吃;還有果菜露,特別推薦莓子口味!
在這家店裡,除了吃到美味的純素料理,更意外認識到一對日本夫妻,他們英文超級好,而且重點是他們對生活的態度跟一般日本人很不一樣,比較沒那麼執著、更懂得生活,我在他們身上也學到了很多。這家店好像有一種魔力,在這你很容易認識新朋友,時間也過得特別快,特別不想離開,下次一定要再拜訪~

The opening hours of vegan restaurant in Kyoto is very "normal". People like me who live in busy Hong Kong and are used to "unusual" eating time is really hard to get used to the restaurant in Kyoto! But actually I found a vegan restaurant that opened to 12am - Natural Food Village
I can hear someone was singing outside the door. As soon as I walked in, there was a live band! Everyone took the drink and stood up and swayed with the melody, feeling very relaxed. We found the position in the back row and settled down first. I ordered spring rolls, curries, fried pasta, cakes, and smoothies. Every dish is quite amazing, the spring rolls are crispy but not greasy; the curry is not too spicy, it is suitable for people who are afraid of spice but want to eat spicy like me; fried pasta is my favorite, The noodles will not be too hard or too soft, with simple vegetables, it is so delicious; also the smoothies, especially recommended berry flavor!
In this restaurant, in addition to eating delicious vegan dishes, it is even more surprising to meet a Japanese couple who are very good at English, and the point is that their attitude towards life is very different from that of the average Japanese. They know how to live better, we shared a lot of ideas. I also learned a lot from them. This restaurant seems to have a magical power. It is easy for you to meet new friends here. The time is also pass very fast. Especially, you don’t want to leave. I must visit again next time~

With the hot temperatures these days, anytime is a good time for ice cream! Tried two out of the five flavors from The Ice Cream & Cookie Co. and both were very delicious. The Açaí Berry is a refreshing dairy-free vegan treat that’s made using 100% açaí pulp from Amazon. (P.s. i think it’s better than many açaí bowls out there) The Matcha Mochi surprises with its ultra smooth and creamy mouthfeel. The intensity of matcha isn’t that strong but overall well-balanced to suit everyone including non-matcha lovers.

Ingredients:
For the carrot mixture:
200g whole pastry flour
50g oil
90g maple syrup
160g soy milk
60g carrot
10g goji berry
1 tbsp baking powder
For the ginger mixture:
200g whole pastry flour
50g oil
90g maple syrup
160g soy milk
15g ginger
4 pieces cardamom
1tbsp baking powder
Instructions:
1. blend soy milk, ginger and cardamom with blender.
2. blend soy milk, carrot and goji berry with blender.
3. add all the ingredients into each mixture.
4. pour the mixture alternately into the cake pan.
5. bake at 350F/180C for 35 minutes.

人参の生地
全粒薄力粉 200g
オイル 50g
メープルシロップ 90g
豆乳 160g
人参 60g
クコの実 10g
ベーキングパウダー 大さじ1
生姜の生地
全粒薄力粉 200g

生姜 15g
カルダモン 4粒
ベーキングパウダー 大さじ1
「作り方」
<1>生姜、カルダモン、豆乳をブレンダーで撹拌する。
<2>人参、クコの実、豆乳をブレンダーで撹拌する。
<3>それぞれの生地に残りのすべての材料を入れて混ぜ合わせる。
<4>ケーキ型にそれぞれの生地を交互に流し入れ、180℃で35分焼いたら出来上がり。
